Popped in to my local Aldi today and walked out with a new tool for my EDC bag. A 10 Piece Precision Screwdriver Set for the princely sum of £1.99!

I wasn't holding my breath about the quality of the tool, but *touchwood* so far, so good. It got Christened an hour after buying it to unscrew the cover off my mums old PC Tower and to detatch the hard drive. Works pretty well I must say. The bits are stored inside the tool itself, and the bit on the end is magnetic for use.

Perhaps I'm easily amused, but I'm pleased with it and works pretty well. £1.99 well spent IMO. I find that the stuff from Lidls and Aldis are always very good :)

Nice! Are they standard fit bits?

Yes they are. They're really good. Not bad for £1.99 :p

i've seen them before at a local hardware store and i've got several of them, they're really cheap but they work well for small screws.

I also have this tool here. The quality is OK , the use depends on the bits. If they are in your range, go for it.

But what do you call standard bits ? I measured something like 5/32" , not 1/4"

Just got back from there. None at my local Aldi here in Illinois sadly.

Well, this is not an exclusive Aldi tool. When you search the net for a precision bit screwdriver set, you should find this elsewhere. Maybe not exactly that cheap...

Oh I know. I have drawers full of screwdrivers and other tools. I was just there buying milk and thought I might grab one for the collection
