I have a skeletool cx and would say the knife has been capable of everything I have asked of it. The pliers on the otherhand have been sent back to the factory twice due to breakage under the slightest twisting load. Replaced no questions asked. Leatherman service for me has been second to none.
if cost is an issue, go on ebay, and search for profero victory. Its a chinese made copy of the wave (without the bit driver).
The Wave, offers a great selection of tools for the size and weight. I'm a SOG fan but you can't go wrong with the Wave
I finally bought it, but none of the above 2 on this topic.
I bought a Surge because of its bigger blade.
im a sog fan myself....powerlock! POWERRRRR LOCK!
Wave. Had mine since I was 13, carry it every day since.
Wave! I love mine, upgraded my sheath to fit bit kits. I don't leave without it.
With the choices you give, Wave all the way. I keep a Wave in my bag, for on person carry the Skeletool rules.
The Wave is allways a good choice.
leatherman. no doubt. leatherman has always been my go to multi tool & i've never had a fail or any problem with any of mine as of yet. i have a leatherman full size multi tool that's probably 12 years old & still works like a champ.
