    I used to carry a 007. I haven't seen one in years. Sometimes they pop up at flea markets.

    sorry about the violation. things got off topic with explaining how to post the pic, I just wanted some help finding this knife, It was the best I've ever owned. this sight seemed like the best shot to get some input. I know from my own experiences, that after the first few posts things get off track, so I just wanted to put the pic at the top to improve my chances. I won't double post again, Mike

    Since I'm betting the post above mine will be edited, I'll recommend you Google 007 knife, New York, 1970s.

    I'd agree, but the photos in that p piece don't match the OP's description of metal skin and the lock near the blade. I'm not sure this is the correct knife.

    I noticed that but the 007 and the time frame he gave are a match. Maybe there were variants?

    OP: I think you're looking for a Bonsa OTF. Google that sucker and take a look. If not, maybe an old German paratrooper gravity knife?

    I am pretty sure that you are looking for a Mercator K55 Black Cat knife. Amazon has them, as well as some online knife shops.
