Here you go. Hope it helps.
Is that a Cold Steel triad lock system on that knife?
You already asked it here:
It wasn't a link.
Editing a link to bypass the Forum's Whitelist is a violation of Rule 12
Identical threads merged.
I have merged yet another thread. That makes three. You started a thread today and then started an Identical thread 3 hours later.
DO NOT start another.
I used to carry a 007. I haven't seen one in years. Sometimes they pop up at flea markets.

Mea culpa. Won't happen again
sorry about the violation. things got off topic with explaining how to post the pic, I just wanted some help finding this knife, It was the best I've ever owned. this sight seemed like the best shot to get some input. I know from my own experiences, that after the first few posts things get off track, so I just wanted to put the pic at the top to improve my chances. I won't double post again, Mike
Try something like this:
Bump for help!?
If your thread gets too far off track, you can click the "report" button at the bottom of a post and you will be given a field in which to write why you are reporting. Just tell us whats up and we'll be happy to get the thread back on track...like this
Back on topic people!!
Anybody see it?
Do they make those Okapi's in stainless?
like an old style gravity knife maybe? i posted a pic of one below
or maybe a black cat? just google black cat knife
thanks a lot it maybe a ripoff of a blackcat from japan. It looks very similar to what I remember
I found some historical background:
The world belongs to the funkiest.
Yikes. No offense to the OP but I think I'd go a different way after reading that.
Since I'm betting the post above mine will be edited, I'll recommend you Google 007 knife, New York, 1970s.
I'd agree, but the photos in that p piece don't match the OP's description of metal skin and the lock near the blade. I'm not sure this is the correct knife.

I noticed that but the 007 and the time frame he gave are a match. Maybe there were variants?
Could be, but I don't think so.
OP: I think you're looking for a Bonsa OTF. Google that sucker and take a look. If not, maybe an old German paratrooper gravity knife?

I am pretty sure that you are looking for a Mercator K55 Black Cat knife. Amazon has them, as well as some online knife shops.
