I think Gorilla now sells a glue that doesn't expand too.
I use their wood glue and contact adhesive pretty often... good stuff for my uses.

Here is the finished knife, not perfect, but good enough for pocket carry again.
I've had this old Camillus camp knife in my collection for a number of years, scales on both side were missing but otherwise the knife is solid....
I picked up this little Gerber US1, weighs in at about an ounce. 3.5" closed. A very worthy successor to their old LST line.
Sturdy fixed blade, easy to sharpen in the field.
