Yes it's got the fuzzy stuff on the inside and will hold velcro - in fact it comes with a velcro spacer to fit smaller laptops.
Go for the Benchmade 556 mini-grip (plain edge/axis lock) - for me at least its the perfect size (sub 3" blade) and comfy handle.
