Come on guys, a thousand lumens can't really hurt you. I've looked into lights with around 2500 lumens and I still have perfectly fine vision.
There we go, now that's some power. ;) I was getting rather disspointed when I saw all those people with 200 lumen EDCs, I do 2000 in my EDC. :P
If you want to see some beamshots of the BTU check out this thread.
The BTU shocker is essentially a higher powered further throwing version of the TK75.
Keep in mind that thing runs off a tiny tiny tiny amount of electricity, it isn't exactly bright. :(
Wow Dale, those things are really multiplying! Have you started curio shopping yet?
Yep, plenty of people have modded them for higher output. Rufusbuck from BLF has done some great work on them....
@Dale, no idea. I'd start a thread on BLF asking about a good budget soldering iron.
You're starting to mod? What are you planning on doing?
SAK, you really should only be putting batteries of equal voltages in these lights.
I will throw it out here, but it is unlikely at this point that the TN31 is dead.
Nice integrating sphere...
I would personally recommend two of the cheap LEDs from RS wired in series along with a 40 ohm resistor, then less power will be burnt up by the...
Ok, glad to hear it works. Just be careful with that battery, I would only use it in single cell lights.
Keep in mind that LED runs at insanely low levels, certainly not anything ready for a flashlight.
Can you post a picture of the cell? It sounds like that drop in is not recieving enough power to run at full brightness.
You became interested in flashlights a few months ago and are already getting review samples. :stomp:
My EDC light? Yes. I couldn't possibly find the time to turn on all of them though. ;)
I just received my Kershaw Skyline, this thing is great! This weekend I'll post a bunch of pics, thanks for the giveaway guys!
Unless you need it for travel (small size) I would go for the I4, can charge more batteries for only a bit more money. I have both so if you have...
