Winter is always wool season for me. Some days it's just socks, others I'm wearing more wool than a sheep. I recently went out on our annual winter camp and covered up with some of my favorites. Pendelton wool shirts (a mostly EDC item for me), Smartwool socks, and Stoic merino wool boxers.

What do you wear and who makes it?

Ruskovilla and Woolpower mostly, but I also have a couple of Shelby and Janus merino shirts. And I have a couple of TAD Gear merino things as well, which I think are by far the best things they ever made: Equilibrium sweater and a Flux hoodie (the old one, which is 100% wool, not the current one which is some kind of wool/nylon blend).

Heaviest sweater I own is a Duluth Trading wool sweater. It folds down to about the size of a microwave. :)

I have tons of smart wool socks and love them. I had a merino wool shirt, forgot who makes it but it got lots of holes in it within a few times wearing it which sucked. Also recently got a merino wool buff which I absolutely love. It was a gift btw, I would have bought the EDCF buff if it were me :)

I have some icebreaker shirts, some socks and a pull-over.

Scary similar! Pendleton or RTK wool shirts, Stoic or Icebreaker boxer briefs (stoic is better), smartwool or point6 (point6 is better) socks, and Polo Ralph Lauren or Filson wool trousers. Have an icebreaker baselayer top that is nice. Also keep on hand thrift store merino wool sweaters, and a vintage LL Bean Duffle Coat (back when they were 100% wool, made in USA). A scarf from Johnstons of Elgin helps on extra cold days.

Kind of a wool addict, thank goodness almost all of it comes from 2nd hand avenues or Sierra Trading Post.

Had a scary moment a year and a half ago when my poly-cotton work shirt caught on fire while I was grinding metal. My cotton undershirt just barely saved me alot of pain, and since then the synthetics have largely gotten the boot in favor of wool and silk.

Favorite clothing IBEX - have numerous pullovers, t-shirts and jackets. Mostly made in USA or Canada!
Favorite socks: SmartWool and Darn Tough

Got several wool caps, a wool buff and also some iPhone friendly wool gloves that I bought a couple years ago from an up and coming company that no longer sells the same quality stuff....it's now "soft" acrylic instead of wool. Bummer cause they're great gloves and I was wanting to buy another pair in a different color.

Huge wool fan here and I'm very happy to see an explosion of wool active-wear in the past few years. Hate, HATE the synthetic stuff and the stinkies that come with them. Now just hoping the moths don't sniff me out.

The best socks i can find are Fits brand wool socks. I wear them every day, they are super comfortable and durable. Best of all they are made right very well, here in the USA about 2 hours from where i live.

I have a few pairs of IceBreaker socks and one of their base layer shirts. I'm quite happy with them all.

I swear by Kirkland Merino wool socks at costco. All I wear.

In my never-to-be "hit the lottery" INCH bag, I would have all merino base layers.

I wear the omni-wool socks that they sell at Sam's Club. I also just recently aqquired two sets of Minus33 mid weight longjohns. I am loving them.

I love my Pendleton wool shirts. I especially like the vintage ones because they seem to fit a little better. My old "board" shirts layer perfectly under a motorcycle jacket. I also like the Pendleton western shirts because pearl snaps and collar stays and wool make an awesome combo.

I have some Woolrich shirts. I've a few pairs of Thorlo but have switched over to Smart Wool. I've also got a nice L. L. Bean winter coat. I'd love a Filson Double Mackinaw Cruser but the L. L. Bean was less than half the price.

I wear Smartwool socks 90% exclusively year-round and I love their thin baselayer clothes, too. Not even remotely itchy.

I have a whole bunch of Smartwool socks/gloves/hat/bike jerseys. Icebreaker long underwear shirt - I love it but 2 out of 3 pairs of Icebreaker socks I own suck.

I only wear wool socks mostly thin smartwool but the Keen ones I have are my favourites. Just bought 3 new pairs from Nordstrom rack this morning for $7-$10 a pair.

Chalky Digits for upper body wear - they're a New Zealand company similar to Icebreaker, but they started out making climbing clothes so their shirts have always seemed a little more comfortable than Icebreaker's for active things. However, I do like Icebreaker and Macpac long underwear - the mid weight ones go underneath regular trousers without getting uncomfortable and are great in winter.

A few years ago I took my camper van up to the North of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides islands ,,,, our favourite place was Harris where Harris Tweed is woven on hand-looms in farmhouses and then sent to a co-operative where it is turned into clothing etc. I couldn't resist buying a jacket.
It is superbly comfortable and warm. Harris Treed is a bit hairy and the jacket is noticibly more so after a lot off wear,,,,,,,,,, so I might have to get it sheared at some time :)

Here's the logo from the cargo color shirt

I live in Texas, so don't get as much opportunity to wear wool as some of y'all but I take every chance I can to wear wool here and try to travel places where I can wear wool some more. I wear wool socks & t-shirts year around and lightweight wool dress pants & sport coats when I am in the office. I also have a bunch of casual sweaters of merino, cashmere & alpaca and a handmade Cowichan but I rarely wear them as it seems that they either make me too warm or I just opt to wear a vest, coat or jacket instead. As far as outerwear goes, I wear more wool vests than anything. Here are my favorites for outdoor wear:

Socks - Smartwool, Darn Tough & Dahlgren
Hats - Stormy Kromer, Filson Waterfowler ( I mostly wear beaver fur cowboy hats so don't have much experience with wool hats)
    Base Layers - Smartwool, Icebreaker
    Shirts - Pendleton
Vests - Filson Mackinaw & liner, Schaefer Outfitters McClure, Irish Setter Fisher
Coats - Filson Bomber, Woolrich Cruiser (much lighter than Filson Cruiser), Irish Setter Watkins

What I don't have, and would like suggestions from those that do, are wool casual/outdoor pants. I have camo hunting pants and dress pants out of wool, but nothing in-between where I spend most my time. I saw some LL Bean wool pants before for that looked pretty good for casual & outdoor wear.
