Here's my Red Wing Pecos boots right now. Got em on clearance for 90 bucks. These are china made sadly, but couldn't pass em up for decent looking boots. I wear various red wings and a pair of Thorogood pull-ons when I don't want to get these too messed up.
Saucony pro grid. Jogging/ cross training shoes are pretty much all I wear any more. I don't run but I'm big and heavy with large feet and some mild foot issues, nothing comes close to the comfort of proper fitting athletic shoes . *Transmitted via portable cellular device*
Split a trailer load of wood and part of the bed of my truck today. Trusty Red Wing 1412s with toe protectors and the goop red wing sells over that. Seen too many of these models have the toe wear through before the rest of the boot is bad. I have 914s that are more beat up. Snow doesn't wear on boots like dry concrete and warmer weather which means easier to work hard. There's an example of the stuff we were splitting.
Now that it´s winter and snow on the ground I´m using domestic made leather boots with soft rubber soles. http://www.toysankenkatehdas.fi/en/node/55
Nike Blacked Out Flex Run. I love these shoes, after having the Free 1,2,3 these are better and cheaper which means more EDC gear.;-)
yes these are ariat ramblers, best item of footware ive owned i think ill buy another pair incase they stop making them
Lowa Treviso GTX; I've owned them for two years, three months already and they're great! Best pair of shoes I've ever owned. Comfortable, rugged, great fit for my size 12+ feet... It's the first pair of Lowa's that I own, but the next pair will be as well.
I'm not military but I always called them (both types) Mickey Mouse boots. I'm wearing my old Bates steeltoes right now, but when I get back home I'll be switching to a pair of homemade (by me) moccasins
I really wanted a pair of those, but I couldn't find a pair of ramblers in the UK, so I picked up a pair of the 'Heritage Ropers' from Ariat in distressed brown. I work in a wildlife sanctuary, and I now wear them to work as well as for smart occasions... all they need is a clean up and leather restorer and I can go from muddy work to smart! They are super solid, really well put together.
I go through shoes pretty quick but my favorite pair of winter/rain shoes are my North Face Hedgehog Goretex XCR. During the past summer I wore a pair UA ColdBlack sneakers and a pair of saucony huricane 15's. my running shoes right now are new balance 1770's. UA Coldgear fleeced lined shoes do a really good job of keep your feet warm if there isn't snow or rain. I have a pair of merrel goretex boots but I don't really like boots all that much.
Rocky C4 Trainer boots nothing better for all around. they feel like a running shoe and support like a hiking boot. but wt 15oz.
