    STILL no word on what caused the explosion. they ruled out bomb, gas, meth lab. people are starting to think theres a cover up of something.

    I saw a recording of Good Morning America tonight and the "news Ticker" at the bottom said that they believe the Furnace was the root of the problem. But I haven't heard anything official. I knew it was a gas appliance. Fireplace would be unlikely, stove too. But the Furnace would/could be more susceptable to this than a water heater.
    Mainly because the old furnaces last longer than water heaters. The water heaters are more likely to have been changed out to newer models with better saftey features. Occasionally a non trained person of interest may work on a water heater and screw something up.

    This is really why I was interested.
