    Practice with old backpacks if they're not usable anymore. Won't be as thick, but its still practice nonetheless. :)

    I made my friend a pen roll for all of her architecture stuff out of an old messenger bag. Then salvaged the webbing, buckles, and zippers for other projects. :)
