For under $50, what's the one knife you would get (or have?). For me, it would be my Ontario Rat-1, that thing is really nice. EDIT: Changed to under $50, because it's a bit more of a challenge, I guess
I have a Rat 1 on back order currently so cant really comment on it but i havent seen a bad review yet. Heres a few that i like in that range Black pioneer as kamm said Byrd wings G10 Rat 1 CRKT Edgie Mora Bushcraft black B.A.K
I'm guessing your trying to get suggestions for your next purchase. So for 5 dollars more you could get my favorite all around knife, esee izula, or my favorite edc knife spyderco delica. The rat one is an awsome knife in your price range. But for how tough the knife is, the blade steel cant quite keep up.
Under $50? I really think that my Cold Steel Gunsite Voyager would be my go to. Lots of knife, tough as nails, very light.
Delica hands down. Yeah, I went $1.59 over http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spyderco-De...524?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a34c0a2c In green, of course!
Something Victorinox in Alox. Cadet or Farmer, most likely Cadet. I also want an Alox Rambler from SwissBianco, but that's jumping up to around $60. That said, I can find other cheaper knives I'd love as well. There aren't as many of them, but I could definitely do it!
I would stick with my SOG Aegis. 3.5 inch assisted blade, under 3.1 ounces, and made in the good ol US of A
Would it be the only knife I'd be allowed to own and use, or do you mean in addition to the ones I already have?
Swiss B. has silver Alox Ramblers in stock for $39 now. http://www.swissbianco.com/products/foldingknives/silver-alox-rambler-sak-detail.html IMO a Vic Alox Pioneer is a winner. Cadet if you want smaller. If you don't loose it and just use it, you will have a good tool for less than a $1 a year..
Ka-Bar Becker BK14 EsKabar with scales, at right around $50. Bought one as a gift and it was like Frodo's ring to part with.
