Is it plastic? Aluminum? I cannot find the materials nor exact sizes of the small and large versions.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the info.

The one that Stormdrane included is the smaller one.
    Reference: P42
    Weight: 25 g
    Maximum allowable load: 5 kg

Hard to find size into on the larger one, but the weight and load capacity are:
    Reference : P42 L
    Weight: 60 g
    Maximum allowable load: 15 kg
    Size: L

    The larger one:
    1. Has a different gate design (more curved than straight).
    2. More rounded cargo loop.
    3. Almost no gripping "teeth" in the web-retention channel (they probably expect the weight of what you are carrying to keep the webbing in the channel.
Side by side photo of the two can be found here:

Ive got a couple on my harness for gear, dont think Id ever think about clipping one to a belt. The clip isnt great, pops open when doing things throughout the day while working, but thats usually quite physical things. Perfect for any type of "beefier" (rope access, aborist etc.) harness for carrying extra gear and not using up all the gear loops.
