Ive searched the site and I really havent found anything that Im looking for. Ive also done a couple google searches but that didnt work either. Im looking for a small, 4" stainless steel pen but also has a .5mm point on it. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Have you considered Zebra F-301 compact? Fits some, but not all, of your requirements. 3.8" when "collapsed" and 5.25" in use. Two downsides: .7mm point and don't see that .5mm refills available, and body is stainless except grip area, which is plastic. Two-pack is inexpensive. Inka pen fits size/stainless requirement, but don't see fine/extra fine refills available. Same with the Fisher Bullet which comes in couple of nice versions, but no 0.5mm refills that I'm aware.
I wonder why it has to be a 0.5 mm point size. Acoording to this table (in german only, sorry), there are six categories with five mark thicknesses for ball point pens: EF = Extra Fine (about 0.3 mm) S = Super Fine (about 0.3 mm) F = Fine (about 0.4 mm) M = Medium (about 0.6 mm) B = Broad (about 0.8 mm) XB = Extra Broad (about 1.0 mm) So 0.5 mm falls between Fine and Medium. 0.5 mm is a more common size for lead pencil refills.
I usually use a pilot precise V5 extra fine point pen that is .5mm. Ive used the .7mm before and think that the ink comes out to thick with the way I wright. here is usually what I use http://www.staples.com/Pilot-Precis...t_205112?cid=PS:GooglePLAs:205112&KPID=205112 Its a little over 5" in length and also plastic. Im really looking for something that is a little more durable since I am carrying it in my pocket all day and Id hate to see the cap come off again and stain the crap outa my pants.
