I've seen many replies where the poster has quoted one person, replied, then quoted another, replied, and so on. I am so not getting how to do this, everything I've tried has been FAIL. What totally obvious thing am I missing on how to do this?
OK, but I STILL can't quote from two different pages. Is this something that can't be done on a laptop, or am I still missing something?
With two windows open? Every time I go back and forth in the same window my post in progress goes away. Or are you cutting your post, going to another page, quoting another and then pasting your post (my grammar would probably make a English teacher cry)
For example, I want to quote something on page one and page four with only one window/tab open. I'd hit "reply" in the first one and "cut" it. Then I'd go to page four, hit "reply" for whatever I was going to quote. Then I'd "paste" the first one above or below that one. Add you own comments above, below, or between as necessary to make a point or get a laugh. Does that make sense?
Oh, I should add that if you are qouting a bunch of stuff, it can be helpful to open a 2nd window or tab and click "reply" and "cut" from one and do all your "pasting" and composing in the other. Clearly there is a reason I don't teach.
I reply to each one on the page and then copy the whole thing before going to the next page. Then I paste it before I reply & quote anyone else
^ Ya what he said. How'd you manage to get it all in one sentence when all I managed to do was confuse CSM in in three different posts?
Heck, I'm always confused, you didn't make it any worse. ...what were we talking about? Oh yeah, the new girl from Sweden, right?
Do I need to remind everyone that harassment of our EDCF ladies in ANY way, shape or form will be dealt with very harshly. This may include (but not limited to), thread/post removal, warnings, or a time out & perma bans are not ruled out either depending on how cranky the site staff are. Make your choice wisely.
