I just noticed it today. Since I've discovered paracord and the art of lanyard-ship I've had a small lanyard tied to the small poke-out lanyard ring on my LM Wave. I've noticed that when I fiddle with it, it has a sharp-ish part that sticks out that allows it to seat into the handle when retracted. So I had an idea, tested it, and discovered that the sharp part on the lanyard ring works great as a box opener. It doesn't cut the cardboard (obviously) but the little sharp part is perfect for puncturing the tape and following through with the rest of the lanyard ring. And I don't even have to open it up to use it. Just grab it and use it. Wave fans rejoice!
