Looking for ideas. I wish the PSD Titanium Pod for sale at Monkey Edge was just a little bit bigger, I think that would be perfect:

I've been struggling with this for months. It's hard to simultaneously achieve:

    1) low profile
    2) no tangles
    3) low cord stress (no tight wraps around small corners)
    4) dust/lint/moisture-resistant

Add my larger-than-usual IE2 buds and storage becomes a real doozy. I'm now using an old Sennheiser cord-wrap-pouch that came with some cheapo buds years ago. I put the buds in the pouch, wrap the cord loosely around the pouch, and use the velcro closure to keep everything neat. It meets goals 1, 2, and 3 above, as well as some of 4.

I use a cut down gift card to wrap them around. There are several products like this out there now, but mine is free.

I have earhook style buds. rotate one 180*, and they nest together kind of. Wrap wires around the pair, secure with rubber band, and into my sunglasses case they go. they sit between the lenses and the temple pieces of my glasses, in otherwise wasted space.

I carry my iPod in my t-shirt pocket, I poke a audio port (aka a hole) in my shirt and run the cord down in side my shirt up to the neck and put the right bud in my ear, with the other end plugged in to the iPod.

Mine are tangled too - it's a total pain but they generally live by the bed so it's not a problem I have got round to solving yet :help:

Stop wrapping them like you do. Everyone wraps them the same way, over and over in the same direction, sometimes very tightly. This is terrible for your headphones.

Learn the over under method of cord wrapping. After that, I either put them in my pocket, or if I have time, into a Altoids Small tin.

Use that method and your cords don't get tangled (or are easily remedied) and will last longer. I've been using my plain Jane iPod headphones for years now. Everyone says their extremely delicate, but I consistently prove otherwise.

Good idea on the Altoids Smalls! Keep 'em coming. I don't listen to a lot of music, but I like to play games on my iphone when I have some down time. I need something compact and pocketable!

I keep mine in an altoids small tin. Haven't had any issues with it. :)

Yup, this is the reason for my goal (3) above. Small bend radii are stressful on cords, as is pulling on them (which is what happens when the cord is wrapped tightly, even around something large like a soup can).

i just stuff mine in my pocket. To be honest, they dont tangle as much as people say they do :p
If they do get tangled, it takes me less than 10 seconds to untangle them.

Fold them over twice, then tie in a loose overhand knot. They never tangle, and then stay in my back pocket

    1. Twisty tie. I get mines from bread bags, or things I buy which come with heavy duty twists

I wind them loosely around my fingers, then stuff them in a little bag that came with some Koss headphones along with Mp3 player and amp.

Love the over under thing.... perfect solution. I started using a tie with a normal coil, but this should stop the tangles :D

I just let the ends dangle in the collar of my shirt, wires running down my torso into the MP3 player.
