    Hi there,

I see a lot of pictures here of your Atwoods and such tools.
But how to carry them in a useful way? I don't want them to merely 'be there' but to be useful and at hand when needed.

I have a TTPocketTool Chopper and a VOX Access Tool. Both of them have their pros and cons.
But it seems that I can't figure out how to carry them with me in a useful way?

I already carry a pocket knife (right front pocket), my keyring (with a keyhook, left front pocket), sometimes my flashlight (also left front pocket) and my money (right back pocket).
If I'm not using some kind of jacket I also carry my smartphone (left back pocket). So where to put the additional tool? Coin pocket of the jeans?

Pocket organizer (for small items, in my bag):
    • I have a pocket organizer in my bag. But I find myself not using the tools very often if I have to open the bag, get out the organizer and take the tool out of the organizer first.
    Attached to key ring:
    • The Chopper is nice and small, but attached to my split ring keychain it is cumbersome to use it, because the keychain is in the way. A small clip (like those McGizmos) doesn't seem to be the right way because of the thickness of the Chopper. The Vox is way better in this case. It can be (dis)connected from/to the keychain because of the built-in carabiner. So for The Vox keychain attachment would be OK.
    Lanyard:
    • I tried to carry the Chopper with a short length of paracord attached to it (the kind the Chopper comes with). But the Chopper has some really poky edges. The Vox on the other hand is too long for just being dropped in my pants pocket IMHO.
But then the Chopper has the added benefit of the cutting edge. - But the Vox is better for prying tasks because of its length and the form of the prying tip.

Oh my, looks like I really can't decide which one to carry on a daily basis and how.

How do you carry your 'keychain' tool if you really want to access and use it?

Pick one of them, keep it on the key ring. Buy a Skinth and keep the other one in that! Metropolicity (EDCF member) makes them to hold cellphones, flashlights, and all kinds of stuff. It would free up pocket space. Can dig up links when I'm done with these cookies. Not done with cookies yet but found some links.

EDIT: Can provide pics if they would help. For I, too, have multiple pocket tools I like to carry! :D

I carry my TT Chopper in my watch/coin pocket of my jeans, with a lanyard and Ti bead on it to help pull it out.

Don't even know it is there most of the time.

This is how I carry mine. It's a Boker vox tool and some gorilla tape rapped around a copper fitting on a piece of para cord with a s biner at the end. I clip the biner to a belt loop and slide everything into a pocket.

Or you can clip the Vox tool directly to a belt loop and let it dangle there. For the chopper, a piece of paracord with a small S-Biner (size #1) makes a nice "retrieval set" from the watch pocket.

Thanks for all the good ideas,
reading all those suggestions I think the watch pocket is the way to go for the Chopper (along with a small length of paracord for retrieval).

Regarding the Vox I will try two alternatives: Either using paracord like in the picture above to let it hang loose inside my pocket (thanks kertab75) or I clip it to my split key ring which also hangs loose inside my pocket with a key hook.
