I have been looking at purchasing a good fleece jacket I like the TAD ranger hoodie, but kinda out of my price range. any suggestions or old tad jacket for sale?

    Patagonia R2.

It is a second level fleece. If you want a third level go with the high loft R3.

If you want a hood check out their Better Sweater with the hood or the R3 hoodie.

All of it can be had on eBay for below retail.

I picked up a Polartec 300 hoodie from Cabelas for $40 if that is more your price range. Look in the Bargain Cave some good prices in there.

In the world of fleece, the Patagonia R2 Polartec fleece is called
monkey fleece, Marmot, North Face, Mountain Hardware and
many others produce jackets using this material. The best
VALUE using this type of Polartec material is from LL Bean,

I'll have my new Bean jacket tomorrow.

I picked up an REI Muir Fleece Jacket the other weekend, on sale. It was $38 (marked down from the $80 - 100 range). It's not "tactical", but it's got really deep pockets (I have gloves in them, and put my CL wallet in them easily). Keeps me very warm - I've been wearing it as a jacket and sweater, and quite comfortable.

I got one of those also about a week and a half ago. Warm as hell. Not as EDC friendly as the TAD Ranger and the TAD hood is much better but every bit as warm. I think it is classic 300 polartec fleece so probably not as wind resistant either but I haven't had a chance to test that aspect yet. Still an awesome bargain.

Got my LL Bean Ascent Packaway Fleece Jacket this week
in black and plan to order a second jacket but in different
color, most likely navy. Very lightweight and warm quality
piece at a reasonable price point. Already getting positive
    comments.

i stumbled up on them looking for a deal on the condor fleece jackets - I googled it but never found anything about 'spaver tactical'..

The style/design (except for the clover on the arm patch area - which a hot iron brand could create) seems to be the exact same as the Condor Sierra/Alpha jacket.. it really looks like the Sierra but with the hand warmer pockets down lower..

the cost is between the two Condor fleece jackets though.. Id love to hear some feedback - the Condor fleece get good review, but arent as wind resistant as the TAD/Polar Fleece jackets..

FYI - La police gear has the condor Sierra and Alpha - they also have a 15% off outerwear until 12/15 at midnight..

the Alpha ends up $40 + shipping and the Sierra is about $59 'outer15' is the code

I love my fleece jackets. Most of them are reversible with my unit badges on the other side, but they are terrible for attracting dog hairs. Anyone know of a fleece that doesn't do this? Thanks
