Sorry for missing this post, Monocrom.

Indigowolf is right, as far as I know he has made two pen styles, the ti/cf I have, and a new all ti pen that was released recently. They are both more compact than a full size pen.

Here are some comparison shots with a full size bic pen.
First shot is caps on. The glass breaker end is even with the bic.
Second shot is ready to write, pen tips are even.
Last shot shows that it is almost as long as the bic pen without cap. It's maybe 1/2" shorter.

For my hands, it is the right size.

Anyone?? Also, from looking at the specs of the Investigator pen it seems super small... Is it really small? Can someone post a pic of the pen next to a regular pen so I can see please :)

Those comparison shots are very telling. Thanks for those.

How are the Render K pens? The brass one intrigues me.

They are great! The brass one is very heavy, which is what I actually prefer, I like the feeling a heavy pen. If you like lighter pens, then you might look into the aluminum version. I am using the Parker gel refills in them and it writes great! I do wish that the Render K accepted the Pilot G2 refills though. Overall, the pens are outstanding, so if you are on the fence about getting one, I say go for it. Jon has the brass ones for sale in the forum store, I think they are the same price as KarasKustoms, but Jon's shipping is probably cheaper and you will be supporting the forum (So why not?).

Or if you can wait they are coming out with a bolt action pen sometime in February, I already have a brass one pre-ordered. Good luck in your pen search!

Oooh, bolt action is in the works? I think I'll hold off for that.

I do love heavy pens - my favorite currently is the Maxmadco. Glad to hear they take Parker refills as well!

Karas made The Bolt, but I think the TiBolt's more accurately-described (the Karas offering doesn't actually let you extend or retract the point by moving the actual bolt)...

Here's mostly what i use...minus a few F701's that i keep randomly throughout my house/cars/drawers. My SS jotter with gel refill gets used everyday, along with the General's Cedar Pointe pencils.

I've been thinking about getting a jotter. I'm not a big fan of the shiny metal though. Has anyone ever tried to stone wash one?

No BUT THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! :)

The S.S. Parker Jotters have a brushed finished on them.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get one for myself after the holidays.

The brushed finish on Jotters is really nice. I have a brand new one and an old one I found on a flea market. It's hard to tell which is the old one from the finish.
