Hey everyone,
I just lost my leatherman surge and need a new multi-tool. I've had in the past a LM wave, gerber multi-tools and sogs. I've always thought they were a little heavy for pocket carry. Anyone have any thoughts on the LM Skeletool.
Thanks

I'm well served by my Skeletool, light, easy to carry, has enough tools to save a few trips to the tool box

It's the one LM I have my eye on too - but I am torn between the basic setup and the CX - for aesthetics alone I may go CX. It's So Tactical!
I loved my Skeletool so much I bought a second one to place in my bag. Ok, the reality was that I bought one for myself and my wife bought one as a present not knowing I bought the first one. Either way, I could have easily returned one and bought something else but opted for keeping both.

I have the Skeletool CX and I like it a lot. I got the CX mostly for looks, but the blade is 154CM instead of 420 (I believe) on the regular skeletool. It's probably not worth the difference in price for the blade a lone. But I like the looks too and I got it for a decent price on Amazon.
I also got the bit driver set which is handy. The tool can carry 2 double sided bits. I only wish there was a phillips/flat screwdriver bit with both together so that I could carry Torx as well.
I love my Skeletool. It has now replaced my Spydie Persistence as my EDC as I only like to carry one blade. The Skeletool offers not only an easy one handed opening blade with the convenience of a pocket clip, but all of the other tools I would not have if I carried a knife alone.
I just broke my Gerber and I'm replacing it with a Skelitool
I too recommend the Skeletool. It's no Wave or Surge but a great lightweight pocket carry multitool!
I got the CX on a good price and think it looks great.
If you like red they have red ones at Rei.com. Apparently exclusive to them.

Cool look but a bit pricey....
I love my skeletool as it has the essentials and nothing more. Bottle opener, knife, pliers, wire cutter, bit driver. That's all I need!
I like a bit more, but I've had good luck pairing it with either a LM Squirt S4, or a Vic Executive. Either give me a small secondary blade, scissos, file, and a few other useful implements. The combo is lighter than any combination of folding knife and "normal" multitool I can come up with.
