    I have a SupertTool 300...the pliers are hard enough to open and close using 2 hands.

    I may get the original just to do this :P

    I'd love to be able to do that with my Lm's... I'm going to oil up my PST, & see what I can do.

    In the comments, he says it's an old SuperTool, which has a LOT more weight in the handles. I doubt you could get a PST to do those things, unless the pivots were completely shot.

    It wold take a lot more than a good lube to do those tricks. On those older tools, resistance to opening isn't just from the pivot pin screws: the pivot ends of the plier jaws have raised areas that impinge on the edges of the folded sheet metal handles, and a flat spot that acts as a detent. I don't know if he filed or ground those down, or if he's just been using the tool so long that it's worn down. Either way, if it's that loose, it probably affects the usage of the pliers.
