    Need a smaller multi tool

Ive got a Leatherman wave, but I am going on a trip and I dont wanna carry my Leatherman Wave and have the extra weight ..

Looking at the Leatherman Micra tools ... Are these the best? Or would something like the Juice be a better choice.. Just something a little smaller than the Wave

one idea for you,,,is if you buy a smaller leatherman type of multitool after the trip you may never use it again...
maybe you should think in lines of pocket tool instead of a multitool.. there are many and some offer alot and carry is easy and comfortable... i have a gerber mulitool that mostly in rhe bag i am using that day.. when i am not carrying a edc bag,,i was carrying a ring of keychain tools... now i am just carrrying a piranha and it servicing me nicely
    just another idea for ya

You looking for something with a lot of multiple functions or a minimalist approach?

I have a Wave but whenever I want to pack light, I go with the Skeletool(Full-size Pliers, knife, bottle opener, bit driver).

I also have the rare kf4(pretty much a mini wave) usually their are a couple on ebay but they fetch more than what they were brand new.

The Squirts are too small if you ask me(Can't do much with the tiny pliers). If you had to go mini go with a Juice model with the specifics you need.

I've never heard of those before now, but that is indeed a nice looking knife... What's the going rate on one?

I like the PS4 for minimal carry. The small pliers are surprisingly useful for small jobs.

The KF4 is an excellent tool, and one I carry a bit. It is indeed a little pricey as now collectable but watch out on ebay etc for one as they come up. It doesn't have scissors which I like to have on me so I tend to have a Vic Classic or similar too.

You might want to consider a 91mm Vic knife anyway as you can get them with pliers in if you need that, and they are quite a bit smaller than a Wave, unless you go for one of the larger ones. Here's where you can figure out what would suit your needs:

That's a fair price. I ended up picking mine up at a T.J. Maxx for $34.99 Brand new, Gray scales too!!

Never been so satisfied with a Leatherman purchase and I've had plenty of Leatherman purchases.

Going rates can be as low as $50 all the way up to about $75 like the website link you provided. Gray scales are more rare than the yellow scales.

Wasn't made for very long(not sure why as I thought it was the most appealing Juice because it didn't have scissors).

I have the skeletool cx. It has a knife and a bit driver, I think the freestyle lacks the bit driver. That is pretty much all I need on my EDC. Looks nice too.
