    knife laws

    How is your state when it comes to knife laws?

    Here in Utah its considered a concealed weapon unless the clip is showing hanging
    out of your pocket......
    There is a little more to it, but I don't carry my knife in my pocket, it gets packed in
    my EDC bag.......

    So what do you guys do?
    I found this for the states

    this PDF has a summary of local knife laws around the US. It might be out of date though http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/USKnife.pdf

    Idaho pretty much doesn't care, and that's how I like it. Boise probably has specific laws for the city, but I don't live near there, so it's all good.

    Nice link freedoom. It shows that is was updated in 2010, but I did notice that it was missing the city knife ordinance of San Antonio from the Texas list. There has been a no locking folder under 5 1/2" law since the 80's there.

    FL knife law is kinda a grey area, but it explicitly says no knife over 4 inches, common pocket knives are ok, whatever than means
    I use my iphone to browse and post on the forums, please excuse my grammar and punctuation.

    the letter of the law says I can carry a cs rajah, but case law says other wise.
    I can more or less carry what ever may be practical for edc uses.

    I guess the best thing to do is if your getting pulled over, is to have your knife so you can get it fast and stick it in your pocked to expose the clip??

    That might look bad if you can't get it fast enough and he walks up and catches you with a knife in your hand......

    * Summary: OK for "normal" knives. Don't try to conceal any bowie, dirk, switchblade or butcher knife.
    * Max length: None apparent.
    * Specifically illegal: none apparent.
    * Relevant laws: 97-37-*
    * Quirks: Threatening actions with a knife in the presence of less than three people may be acceptable.
