Am I doing it wrong?

Every image I put in a post ends up being removed.
I just copy the picture URL and paste it in the [IMG] tags.

I'm assuming you're putting in a URL from another site, like countycomm.com or arcteryx.com. That's called hotlinking and it's generally frowned on. You need to put your images on a site like photobucket.com and link to them from their. I use my hosted site for that so I can't offer any specifics about sites. Hopefully some who can will fill us in.

Yes, we remove hotlinked images when we find them, but I don't remember removing any from your posts. You'll need to use a hosting service, Photobucket, Image Shack or some such. When you upload an image, they usually give you a selection of links you can copy paste. Just pic the one that says BBCode and has the [IMG] tags. Preferably thumbnails, unless your images are fairly small.

You can also just copy paste the image URL, it will automatically turn into a link.

Yep that's my handy work alright...

The website you hot linked from stopped hosting the image which made putting a link pointless (what I normally do)... Sometimes I leave a Posting Rules link along with my moderator icon, but in your case I removed the picture without leaving an in-post warning.
