I was wondering what my fellow dog owner here are doing for canine FAKs? Are you just trusting on the contents of your standard FAK to cover the pooch? Maybe adding a few special items? Has anyone assembled a dedicated canine FAK?

Yes! We've put together a dog "Bug Out Bag" which includes food (in a Tupperware-style container which can double as a food dish), collapsible water bowl, treats, spare leash & collar, 10 ft. stake-out cable, poop bags, large trash bag, toys, beach towel, grooming tools, copies of vaccinations & rabies cert., first aid kit, etc. The small first aid kit includes nitrile gloves, tweezers, alcohol wipes, BZK wipes, Neosporin, and some bandages. Oh and some spare painkillers from the vet. Pretty minimal stuff, but enough to take care of a tick bite or small wound. Somewhere around here I've got photos of the setup -- I need to find those and post them up here.
The dog "BOB" works great for road trips and traveling, too. Just throw it in the back with the dog and you are all set!

Found an older picture... it has since been updated a bit.

I see you are a fan of the vacuum sealer also. I've got a canine BOB already. I was mainly wondering what special FAK arrangements other dog owner were making. So far, Im just planning on using supplies from my regular FAK to treat the pooch if he's injured (just supplies, not human meds unless vet approved, especially on a 7lb chihuahua)

This is just the day/overnight pack I have for My dog. Since most canine first aid items can be substituted with human items...I keep those with the rest of My first aid gear. But Shiloh carries the rest herself.

Includes: Collapsible bowl, food, treats, 25ft lead, waste bags, gentle leader, brush, hot weather bandanna (soak in water, helps keep her cool on hot days). Since this pic I've added a couple things. A favorite chew toy and a few more treats such as long lasting rawhides

She's a working breed dog, so she actually seems to like carrying her own pack. I've never had any trouble with her trying to dump it or chew it off.
I do keep a couple extras in my FAK because of My dog. Sometimes when we're out and about she'll manage to somehow eat some grass or drink water that she shouldn't and get a little case of diarrhea. As per My Vet's suggestion I give her a child's dose of Immodium when this happens and usually one is all it takes to set her right. So I carry a few of these...also good to have for humans too since a case of dissentary in a survival situation can lead to major dehydration and death. Also inspired by my dog, I carry Veterinary Balm. AKA Udder Salve. For her scrapes and cuts I use the same triple antibiotic I'd use on myself.
Thanks for the link Leemann. Interesting range of K-9 kits: 6 different models, I think. The writer reviews were good. The only name I recognized was Arden Moore, a pretty well respected dog trainer/writer. Thanks again...
I never go anywhere with about my K9 FAK. I have basic first aid supplies in there but I hunt a lot so I have a trauma kit as well. I carry impact gel in case of severe wounds, small role of duct tape, a 3M skin stapler (and remover) in case I need to patch up a cut and I always have a few Quick Clot packets to stop bleeding. I have had to use it once and it saved his life after he got tangled in old barbed wire fence and cut a major blood vessel in this leg. I will post some photos of mine later so you can get a better idea to plan your own
We recently were away from home when our dog, Haggis, tore a nail down to the quick and it bled like crazy. Took my SAK and trimmed the jagged nail and then packed with gauze and wrapped up with some ACE bandage from our FAK (two acronyms in one sentence, wow). I agree that most human medical stuff can be used for the dogs and a second, complete kit isn't always necessary. Maybe just a laminated reference sheet stuffed with the people stuff for doses and things is all one really needs. What do you think?
