Do you carry a whistle everyday?

I just ordered a Fox 40 Sonic Blast and a Fox 40 Mini whistle today. I don't know if I'll carry one of them or not, but I've been thinking that a whistle might be a good addition to my edc. I figure it might come in handy while out and about with the family, and could have emergency uses.

If you don't mind, I was wondering how many of you have decided that a whistle is an important part of you EDC, and what was your reasoning?

Oops, I did a search and found lots of info on this topic. Sorry, should have done that before posting.

Yeah, how about thinking BEFORE needlessly insulting someone. -_-

Just post on one (or all) of the relevant threads you found to bump it back up top. No harm done, just let this thread die.

I decided it was important to learn to whistle loudly with two fingers. I read a number of internet helps and practiced almost daily. I'm pretty good but still not as loud as I'd like to be. The helps always stated that learning with two fingers would be a bridge to learning without any. I'm still trying to cross that bridge.

Got a Fox 40 Sharx in my bag. My little daughter has one too that she carries when we're out in case she gets lost.

I've never been able to learn how to do this for some reason.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I figure it will be a few days before I receive the new whistles. Once I get them, I plan to make one of them my EDC whistle. In the meantime I tried out a Fox Rescue Howler (available at the local Dicks Sporting Goods), and got into trouble for blowing it without warning my wife and daughter. They especially seemed to have a problem with my trying out the new whistle while they were having breakfast. Go figure. I don't think my son was very happy about it either, but unlike the girls he kept his mouth shut.
