No dice for me either at Staples, OfficeMax, etc. I eventually broke down and ordered one from eBay. At just over $8 shipped, it's the cheapest way to get one right now. Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet, but it is indeed exactly what you would expect a pencil version of the F-701 to be. The tip is fixed in place, not retractable, so I'd worry about it poking a hole in my pocket, but that also makes it a good drafting pencil. If only they made it in 0.5.

there's a reason they call them pocket protectors. no more worrying about your fixed-sleeve pencils poking holes in your shirts.
