Has anyone here been shocked by either a taser or stun gun?

I was just wandering what it felt like? How much did it hurt? Would if stop you if you really wanted something that you couldn't have? Please share your stories with me, I am looking to get one, and just wandering whether they work more on shutting down nerve responses or pain or both.

Taser's are good, most stun guns are useless for real defense. I've got some videos of a drunken night where we shocked each other with a stun gun. It hurt, but just for a second, and didn't stop you from doing what you were before.

I think one of the most "useful" pranks I ever saw on ******* was where they tested some sort of pepper spray and a Tazer-type thing. He just laughed when he was Tazered, (though it did put him on the floor), but the Pepper Spray really immobolised him.

But no, I've never been Tazered. Used to hold onto electric fences when I was kid though, then touch people if they came too close!

Tazer doesn't really "hurt" although it's far from pleasant. It just makes you collapse and feel like all your body is in spasm until the current is switched off. Pepper spray oh yes that hurts.

    Yes,

A girlfriend from a decade ago did, she just wanted to see if it worked. Then she thought it would be fun to chase her brother with it and try to get him.
Being fluent in typonese is helpful when reading my posts.

Only a hit from a 90K volt "stun" flashlight. It gets your attention so you'd move away quickly but it wasn't debilitating.

Stun guns are only unpleasant. Taser X-26 is the most PAINFUL thing I've ever experienced, imagine someone sratching your spine with a fork while an elephant sits on you. Several of the guys I work with said if they have to be shocked again to recert that they just won't do it. On the street I've seen at least two people wet their pants.

Kind of, I tested my German Shepherds training shock collar on myself. Hurt like heck. I decided to throw it out. I pamper my dogs. We had a guy in college you used to zap the metal frames of the beds people were sleeping on. A lot of cursing and yelling but not a show stopper. The ASP baton his roomate had was much more effective.

We used pillow cases filled with combat boots but thats another story and it was only until someone arm got broken.

Not been done by a taser or stun gun but I have had a belt from a car dizzy cap and that felt like I'd put my hand on a steel work bench and smacked it with a hammer as hard as I can
I grew up wanting to be Luke SkyWalker but I turned out like Han Solo...... go figure?

I was not at all impressed with asp batons, having used them twice while a LEO without any effect I gave mine away. Some pepper spays work great, Freeze +P and Zark Vexor are my two choices. Regular stun guns are about like an electric fence, painful but not debilitating. Tazers on the other hand are the best non-lethal thing I've ever seen. The training video shows a full grown Brahma bull being hit and it instantly falls and stays down until the current is stopped. I've NEVER seen ANYONE fight their way through a tazer. The frequent fliers at our jail who had been hit by one only had to be threatened to be tazed again and they would stop what they were doing. No one wanted to "ride the lightning" again!
