Hi. Anyone with experience using Sherpa pen skins? These are the compatible disposable pens/markers listed on their website (http://www.ppcpen.com/sherpa/theperfectfit.html):
    • Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Marker
    • Sharpie Accent Liquid Highlighter
    • uni-ball Vision
    • uni-ball Vision Elite
    • uni-ball Deluxe
    • uni-ball Vision Needle
    • Pilot P-700
    • Pilot P-500
    • Pilot V-Ball Grip
    • Pilot V Razor
    • STAEDTLER liquid point 5/7

I know the "uni-ball eye" fits too, as I'm using that now.

Anyone with experience using other disposable pens/markers with the Sherpa? Would like to widen my options for refills.

    Thanks!

Rite-in-the-Rain refills fit the Zebra F-701 with the F-402 tip without any modification. However, lengthening the cartridge by adding some material to the back with make it a perfect fit. In other words, the writing tip doesn't fully protrude from the pen.

Zebra 301 will fit the Fisher #SPR1 refill if you bore out the tip or shave off 2 mm from the head but it has a tough annoying click to it so i cut back some of the spring BUT NOT MUCH!!!
I am losing any respect i have for folding blades and its kind of sad.

Besides the pens mentioned below, I've found that most other disposible pens (which are usually too long) also fit into the Sherpa after some slight modification:
    1. remove the end cap and slice off the "excess" plastic from the pen's body to the correct length.
    2. replace the end cap (you need to have the end covered, as it rests on a spring inside the Sherpa body) and insert into the Sherpa.
    3. Be careful not to cut too much off the end or you could end up with the "springy" pen the acts like a shock absorber as you write!

I now have a green pilot G2 Pro with a space pen refill in it. it works fine with just stuffing tissue into the PARKER adapter and using it to lengthen the barrel to fit (it had a mont blanc refill with the plastic on the butt cut off to fit in the g2 but it is dead)

it works equally as well in the g205 but i wish i had a longer spring or you need to compress the spring more by stuffing more tissue into the parker adapter for the best feel and usefulness.

the G2Pro is about the same I like the soft click but you may like a stronger click and tissue should be replaced with something sturdier asap, maybe epoxy or similar
I am losing any respect i have for folding blades and its kind of sad.

Does enyone know of a refill that could replace a Lamy M16. I can't find one anywere, and am not inclined to pay $4 shipping for one $5 refill. Any cheaper alternative would be nice. Thanks.

I use a Zebra ZEB 85412 Medium Black (metal case...also used in F-301, 402 and 701). Approximate cost is $2.50 for a pack which has two refills. This is what you have to do:
    1. Find round stock plastic rod or wood dowel that is 3/16 to 1/4 inch in diameter. See below for more detail.
    2. Cut above rod to 3/8 inch length. The 3/8 inch rod makes the Zebra refill the same length as the MB refill.
    3. Remove the spring that comes with the Zebra refill. Insert refill into pen using MB spring. Add above spacer to cap and assemble pen.

The medium black Zebra writes smoother that the MB refill and is darker black.....wonderful & cheap refill.

I used a plastic end piece from a used Parker refill, the tip blue or black pulls out of the Parker refill. I then used a sharp knife to cut the smaller diameter round sections off (both ends). The finished spacer is exactly 3/8 inch in length. I really like the Zebra refill in my MB ballpoint.
