On both Silver or Black Items what colors would work for the EDCF logo?
Background + Logo + Text

Silver on[i] [i]Black has always worked well...just look at anything related to the "NFL - Oakland Raiders" colour combinations

It will be the EDCF logo in the upper left hand corner.
Back ground silver or logo silver? And what color for the text.
I have to decide very soon.

We need a maximum of three colors and a minimum of two

Logo > E D C (silver letters on black background) or (black letters on silver background) or (green letters on coyote background like your patches)
Logo > edcforums.com (could be different colours like International Orange, Emergency Yellow, Corvette Red, etc. etc.)

Black and yellow (or orange) go together well. That's my vote for the black one. Black with logo and text in yellow. And the border around the logo & text like the patches have.
For the silver one, blue and/or green, for a more subdued look. Like these blue & green:

Maybe green background with blue text & logo?

Kait suggested neon blue or lime green. With black text:P

Ok, so I'm supposedly good with colour, so I'll offer some thoughts on this.
EDC seems to fall into 2 categories, safety and tactical. And the colours that we see on all the items we buy tend to fall into those two categories.
If you wanted the classify this keyring, I'd say it wouldn't be something tactical, so maybe the safety colour palette would be more suitable.
Another thing to think is, keys are one thing people lose the most, so a bright colour scheme would suit this particular product.
I'd suggest a black background with a safety orange logo. But so you get an idea, here's more than a few combos, (I don't have the EDCF logo so I've mimicked it for the time being)

I am going to email fallow a copy of the edcf logo file.
I was thinking this was something nice to switch out keys and tools on a key chain. The individual items remove so easy on these things.
I would say this would be something for everyone.
Students, Businessmen, Adventurers, EMT's.
I am thinking of something with the broadest appeal possible.
I was going to use the same logo for both a quick change key chain and for a gear retractor. ;D

I think on a silver colored item the black background and silver log would look really good.
On a black item, how would it look?

WOW!!...That was fast!!!
I just noticed in the subject that I have the color silber....oops.
Well , I always thought " SILBER " was a special EDCF colour, and it is very cool!!!
But on a more serious note...Once the Background color is decided, adding a two color combo to the logo (1 color per line)

I agonized over this for quite awhile. I finally pulled the trigger on it and ordered them made.
I went with the Black background and silver gray logo. We will soon see if I should have done this or not :P
