This is an older thread. Please look to this new thread linked below for interest in my most up to date offerings. Thank you.

I bring you the Stormtracker's EDC toolkit. :D

http://www.supercellhunter.com/tools/closed.jpg http://www.supercellhunter.com/tools/open.jpg

http://www.supercellhunter.com/tools/openfull.jpg

Dimensions were made to fit the Jumbo Versipack and other similiar packs @ 9"x7"x2".

http://www.supercellhunter.com/tools/insert.jpg

I have set the price for these at $39. I will also need shipping costs.

The panels are made of 2 layers of 1000D Cordura (1 side is a pocket, as pictured), #9 zippers, Heavy Duty #92 thread, Paracord zipperpulls, Grimloc, all edges bound with seam tape for a clean finish, Milspec 1.5" elastic for retention of your gear.

* Note: Patch is for illustrative purposes only. It is not included.

It took me about 7 hours to make the first one. Im hoping to do a production run and get my time into each one at or around 2 hours. So basically Im asking for 2 hours of my time and my material cost

My material stock on hand is Coyote tan. I will do a run of black or foilage if I can get an order of say 10 or more for that particular color. Otherwise color is Coyote Tan. There will be a few improvements here and there but the bag as pictured will pretty much be the design. The updates will be more utility as opposed to cosmetic.

Ok so we had alot of interested folks and responses. Here is a list of names I took from the other thread.

Buckshot ( in for 1 Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal
JP2515 ( in for 1 Coyote Tan )*Paid using Paypal
Jenkinma ( in for 1 Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal
BadKarma ( in for 1 in Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal

jon1996 ( in for 2 Coyote Tan )
greyhound352 ( in for 1 Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal
The Lost Bushman ( in for Coyote Tan )

Belush2 ( in for 1 in Coyote tan ) * Paid using Paypal
Joe McDoakes ( in for 1 in Coyote Tan ) * Paid using Paypal
ericb02809 ( in for 1 in Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal

I count a potential of 22 of these. Can those who are still interested please chime in here so I can get an end tally of these so we can move forward?

Anyways Im excited as I hope many of you are. I'll roll out the payment details and all that stuff when I figure out exactly how many are on board.

please post:

Foliage would be my first choice, but looks like there is no interest in that. Black would be second, if we can get enough people!

Failing those, Tan is fine.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the payments guys. Alot of folks are paying and jumping in. I would like to wrap up all who are onboard by this weekend. I am looking to get started early next week. I just realized this weekend is Memorial Day so I guess I wont be sewing :slap:

I have updated in the OP who has paid and the colors everyone has chosen. I will follow up with some PM's to the few stragglers left behind. Not too late to jump in if your wanting the "Ultimate Stormtracker's Toolkit".

Thanks again for the support and continued interest.

In your post above you mentioned shipping costs would need to be calculated. Do you want payment ($39) now and the shipping costs later? Just don't want you to pay the PayPal tax twice.

stormtracker
05-21-2009, 01:55 AM
I appreciate the concern JP

Im requesting $39 + $7 dollars from folks for shipping and handling. Some folks I had asked 7 or 8 dollars. I went to the Post Office and did some investigating and found out I could ship to folks for a little over $5 with delivery confirmation.

Paypal has been hitting me for 1 + change for every transaction. So $7 seems good. For those remaining if you could

$39 + $7 or 8$ if you feel charitable - ;D to (storm.tracker"at"yahoo.com)

i would really like to thank folks again for their participation in this joint project. I know you will all be pleased when you get these in hand. :highfive:

stormtracker
06-04-2009, 12:38 AM
Wanted to post an update. Im counting 15 paypal payments to me for the toolkits. Above in my first post we had some fall out on the interest. However others jumped onboard and picked up the extra pieces. As of right now I have 4 or 5 extra. One for sure is saved for "SnWnMe". Im expecting to get caught up with him on Friday.

So as of now there are 3 or 4 extras not spoken for. I thought I was making spares and I did but they are going fast and for this run I wont be able to add anymore as you can see from the pics Im pretty far along on production. first come first serve on the rest, so dont hesitate to PM me if interested.

If I missed anyone that paid and you don't see your name on the list let me know. But Im almost certain the below list is correct.

Buckshot ( in for 1 Coyote Tan ) *Paid using Paypal

Ok guys,

Got the first one done tonight. I make them using an assembly line process, so they will go real fast now 3 - 5 per day I'm estimating. I think I should have them all shipped out by the end of the week or early next week.

I will ship to the first folks who paid in order. Only exception is those deploying. I know SnWnMe is deploying so he will be one of the first to get his shipped. If anyone else is, please let me know. Otherwise they will be shipped out in orderthat payment was received and again by the end of this week early next week I should have them all shipped out.

I will get up a new pic soon.

Thank you very much for your patience. Im a one man show, web designer by day and Im also a stormchaser with a small camera crew so I have been really busy lately. I also was set back waiting for an elastic shipment for 4 or 5 days.

Thanks again folks, look forward to reviews on the toolkit :woohoo:

If time permits, I will do a mini review of the bag tonight.

MyAGunn

I received mine today as well. I couldn't be more pleased, it's an awesome kit! I really like having all of the small items that were previously scattered in different pockets all in one place. The toolkit works equally well in both my Jumbo and my Falcon II. Stormtracker did a great job with this! It's a very well made kit.

jp2515

Here are some photos, I'll call it my mini photo review:

BOE Patch
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg252/firebuff7/EDC%20Gear/Kit1.jpg

Interior shot of it semi loaded up. (not all EDC). I can foresee the bag being able to carry way more than what I have in there right now.

Some observations:

You can barely make them out but I stuck lightsticks in the rearmost pocket on the left and they still stick out. Perfect for long items. Standard sized screwdriver will fit right in.
The pocket underneath the SAK is expandible (the CC Watch Taco will slide right in)
At the front, the elastic loops have enough tension to hold the CC Battery holders (AA & AAA shown) without dropping when bag is moved.

The loop at the spine is capable of holding a Surefire G2/6P

On the right, the velcro is strong (yes it is!)
As can see, the elastic is expandible (That's the PST at the top, Spyderco Delica and the LM Bit Kits)

http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg252/firebuff7/EDC%20Gear/Kit2.jpg

Those are my thoughts, I welcome others comments and thoughts about their kit.

As was already said, if you didn't get one this go around, get in line!

Sorry Roger Beep,

Thanks for being patient, Im working hard to make it happen.

Reading my last post I had stated that i would send them out a week ago but with the 4th of July and family obligations I had to meet I got behind. My apologies.

xizzy dont fret man. After I can get all these out I will design the small one. I have to finish these and finish a custom project I am struggling with then I will put up the smaller ones.

Please bare with me. If I can keep putting out cool gear and selling it to happy EDCer's here and elsewhere I can quite my day job ( web design ) and focus on sewing 100%. This is my plan anyways.

Ok gang,

This project is finished and closed. I would like to thank everyone who participated. It took me a little longer than I thought to get these out. I apologize for the wait. I will be rolling out some new projects here in the near future so stay tuned.

I have received many requests for a smaller toolkit. My next project will be a smaller toolkit. So keep an eye out. And thank you again. I will be making many ahead of time so the wait wont be as long.

Stormtrackers work rivals any outfit that makes gear IMHO and I look forward to his future offerings.

Now once I get mine setup I will post some pictures, damn this is a cool EDC bag :)

I think there is a function here ont he forum if you go to my profile where you can email me as opposed to sending me a forum message. IF that doesnt work let me know and I will create another form of communication.

ETA. waiting for my +3 so the mail can flow. Its underway. :)

I suppose I'll just ask the question here: Will the manbag be similar to your Tactical Tumi? Also, would it be possible to include a water bottle holder to one side or both?

Another thought: could you also have a removable cell phone pouch for the shoulder strap? ^^; Sorry, I just thought of it, and I think it'd be really handy. :)

DozerDog, The overall size is 7" x 5" x 2" So check on Maxpedition's site and see what your bags internal dimensions are. I left you a link below to find out more about purchasing one if it will fit your needs. Let me know :)

Maxpedition lists the dimension for the "Fatboy Versipack" as 8 x 6.5 x 3 so the small kit should work fine. :trampoline: Now I need to do some "GaZinTahs" to free up the needed funds. I'll PM as soon as the $$$$ is available.

I Can't Wait !
