If you search for information about Barkies, you will find that Bark River knives are used by many that do real serious hard work with these tools. They are serious cutting instruments. Some are built for though serious work while others are great for fine delicate work but even these are tough as nails. Even the ones with pretty burl wood and mosaic pins are out there doing tough serious work. That are wonderful to look at and wonderful to use. Look at what Bark River users say about these knives. On top of that Bark River is the best revenue source this forum currently has right now.
The people involved with Bark River have been very nice to me. They with the approval of another site have told me that any item you see listed I can get in two days. I will also be able to sell the items at a little bit lower cost than the prices you will see.
If there is anything you would like on this page I can get it for you and it will help the forum.
Bark River Products (http://www.knivesshipfree.com/Bark-River-Knife-and-Tool/c465/index.html) Any Bark River items you see on this page I can get for you in two days. I do have permission to do this via the owner of this page. In fact he recommended it.
Anything out there you want?

Bump.
Just a reminder, request a Bark River that I don't have and I can have it ready to ship on Tuesday.

Jon,
What is the procedure? I am interested in a Fox River (in Natural Canvas Micarta) for piggybacking with a Little Creek to be ordered when they come up in the current production schedule.

Jon,
Any chance you could get the "Bark River Knives: Pro-Scalpel--Red Spalted Maple Burl [brps08]" for me? It's on the website referenced in this thread. It's going to be a birthday present for my wife.
Thanks,
Ken

Ever since I heard about them, I loved them. I consider them a mass-custom shop, each one seems to be unique, it is very rare it see 2 models that are identical.
I should have a new (to me) lil'chute by next week! I love the stubby blade/ huge grip on it. The wood scales are some of the most beautiful handles I have ever seen on a knife. I also have a mini-canadian, there are very few small knives built like these, very unique designs and super strong steel you can abuse. I hope the PSK comes back into stock soon!
The other benefit is that most of them are convex edged, so you can strop them and treat them more like a razor, which makes sharpening a little easier.
I also hope to get a Gunny, I posted to the thread but haven't heard back.

I've had five Bark River knives and all have been top-notch quality. I think it's great that you are able to access such a wide range of their products.

Just wanted to provide my two cents on Bark River knives.
I have preordered the PSK from Jon for a while now which has been a longer wait than expected for everyone including Bark River Knife and Tool themselves. Since the wait has been longer than expected I have purchased a Mikro Canadian I used from a member on the forums here for $56 shipped. When I received it, it was poorly sharpened and had a few scratches around the edge from the original owner that didn't know how to sharpen the blade. I knew it was going to be in that condition so I was able to gather some information as to how the lifetime warranty works. Knifeforums.com is the place to get that information because that's where the BRKT head honchos live outside of work. Granted to could just ask Jon here for information or even ask myself, I have talked to Mike(founder of BRKT) on several occasions and he always answers the same day.
So anyways I sent my Mikro Canadian I back to them for postage their and back(include $12 for return postage) and you will pretty much be getting a used brand new knife for very little money.
BRKT's don't go down in value because of the reputation that BRKT has with their lifetime warranty.
I also purchased a Mikro Slither which is one their smallest knives for a great price at a gun and knife show. Neat little knife with a couple of small micro chips and a miss grind towards the tip. Since I got such a great deal on it I wasn't worried because I knew it could be cleaned up to be a perfect knife when need be.
Overall everyone should own at least one Bark River knife especially because the knife will outlast anyone on this planet.
I will post pictures of the knives once I get the Mikro Canadian I back(expected Monday) so pictures will be posted sometime this week!!
Can't wait.
If anyone has any questions shoot me a pm, email or post here.
Take care
-Matt

Thanks! :highfive: They were bought to be used, not to be museum pieces. At least one of them will go in my BOB.

I ordered a Gunny through Jon and have been blown away by it :pirate:. I just added a stainless (12c27) yellow w/black liner Escort boot knife. This one I was lucky enough to get with the standard brown and EEP (Extreme Environment) black and brown (dark) sheaths. When I get a new camera I will add images, old Cannon died :(.

I have nothing negative to say about the knives, sheaths (Sharp Shooter made) or any of the maker personnel / retailers I have thus dealt with. This is gonna definitely take it's toll on the budget ;)...

If there is a Barkie you want I might be able to get it for you probably at a lower price.

I have never found a tougher knife in modern and classic styling, with the variation in handle materials in near custom work at real world pricing. I have beat on many of mine through the toughest of dried white and red oak and Ironwood...some even frozen...and they just keep taking it and taking it. I am a hunter and real world user and can vouch for the durability. I am also impressed at the edge retention with the ability to easily sharpen them as well. That is not an easy duo to compromise on.

Update
I have added a bamboo handled Escort that had a price I could not pass on. Now My yellow G-10 has it's own black EEP and bamboo snuggles in a brown EEP. I believe in these knifes to the point that I currently have a limited horse hide pocket sheath and my Little Creek is still a few weeks away. Talk about the proverbially cart before the horse ;D...

The Loveless knives I most recognize are the drop points and the big subhilt knives.

Bob has made a lot of different Blade Styles.
His handles are all pretty much the same style but the blades are a pretty wide selection.
