I'll be flying to the states next week, which I haven't done in over 2 years. For those who have flown in or to the states in the last few weeks/months-will I have any problems with the following items. I know I can go to the DHS website but was also interested in any anecdotal info:
Keychain Items concerned about:
-Atwood Prybaby
-Peanut Lighter
Wallet Items concerned about:
-BCB Wallet Tool (the metal card type item)
-2" foldable scissors
-KOWE 2000 foldable nailclippers
I have a lot of stuff in my wallet to raise an eyebrow/elicit a chuckle ("this guy has aluminum foil, safety pins, paperclips, a sewing needle, button compass, etc... in his wallet") but above are the specific items I'm concerned about and I'd hate to lose

Nail clippers and small scissors are okay last I knew. Atwood will probably be okay unless someone else wants it more than you. Wallet tool... hard to say. Peanut lighter... dunno.
Best to check TSA as you mentioned just to be sure.

TSA (http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm)
Read this...TSA Know before you go (http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm)
I think you maybe out of luck with the lighter.
Travel well!

Thanks. I have to give TSA credit. This is a pretty good site-very little ambiguity on what is allowed. My reading is the Peanut Lighter is a No Go.
Anyone out there had experience trying to fly with one?

there is a DOT lighter containment system on sale at any fine lighter store i.e. sportsmans warehouse at least the one in Southaven MS

I believe the peanut lighter is a reglular fuel zippo style lighter which should be OK for carry on (I have carried a regular mini BIC as part of my EDC in my carry on bag as recently as yesterday).
I prefer to be cautious and consequently I would not take the Atwood or the BCB. The wallet tool if I read the description definitely has a blade on it and I think is not allowable, the prybaby is arguably a less than 7" tool ... but depending on the edge could be intepreted otherwise and you'll be out an expensive item.

Have been back in the states for 3 weeks now-have just been about to get back into this forum.
FYI-I put my peanut lighter in checked baggage, based on TSA guidance. I know it's an inexpensive item, but I didn't want to lose it.
No problems with getting my prybaby or BBC Wallet Tool Card through security, but I was instructed to put my foldable scissors (about 2") in my checked baggage. Otherwise no issues, and a good flight.
By the way, it's great to be back in the states. :)
