Anyone travel to Maui -Hawaii much?

This is kinda an off topic question but here goes.

I was wondering if anyone here knows some cheap lodgeing in Maui. ..Condos or discount coupon for hotels?? My finacee and I are getting married there and can barely afford the plane ticket over there.

We want to stay inear Kaanapali Beach / Lahaina

I've never been to Hawaii. Have you guys considered going to Cancun or the Riviera Maya? Its beautiful downthere and you can get top notch accomodations with all inclusive for 7 days for about $2,500.00

If Hawaii is the only choice try to find all inclusives.

I stayed at the Maui Vista Resort (http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-322583-maui_vista_resort-i) in Kihei.  Lahaina's a 15 minute drive or so, if I remember correctly.  Nothing luxurious, but it was a perfectly acceptable base for ten days in paradise at a good price.  Bedroom, kitchen, living room, balcony, pool, what else do you need?  Maui was unbelievably beautiful.  Have fun and congratulations!

Get a studio. It will same $ and works fine. Buy food and cook in if you want. A lot cheaper that eating out. Every room is ocean front and about 75 feet from tjhe water. You'll love it.

Well this is a pretty old thread, but I liked staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Drive to hana is great. Food everywhere is great. Rent a convertible or a Jeep.
