Hello all,
Has anyone ever had a problem getting through airport security with an Atwood Funnybone or Atwrench? Do I run the risk of getting these things confiscated if I travel with them?
Thanks for your help!

Welcome to EDC forums Halibut!
According to the TSA (http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#7) website, I don't think you should have a problem. I had a problem going into a courthouse with my Atwood Nibble though. Here is another topic (http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#7) on this forum regarding this.

Thank you for your help! I received a similar response from Peter. If anything goes awry today, I'll be sure to let the folks here know.
Best,
Dan
I've been through airport security 7 times in the last 3-4 weeks with an Atwood Nibble, Atwood 3G Prybaby, and a MicroWidgy bar in my backpack. Not even a flinch from the TSA screeners. :-X

I've noticed that they get scrutiny if they are on my keychain and I put it in the little bowl (pocket contents) and through the machine. If I stuff them in my pack or bag with all the other things like gps, tons of cables and power chords for phone, computer, gps, et., they have never even hesitated.

To avoid this kinda stuff when I travel... I always carry a pre-addressed, pre-paid padded mailing envelope just in case I forget that I have stuff I shouldn't in my pockets.
Usually security will let you go back out of line and mail your "contraband" right back home.

Gotta and this to my EDC items - "pre-addressed, pre-paid padded mailing envelope". I neve think about this unless I'm "in the line".

Good idea for US domestic travel...doesn't always work for international travel say in the middle east and asia.....
