Hi guys and gals,

I'm planning on doing some quick regional air travel in the next little while. It's the "in today, out tomorrow" type of travel in which I really don't need to check any bags, as a small backpack is more than enough. I was planning on taking my Swisscard lite with me, but leaving the small blade behind.

Has anyone tried this? I can't see the problem as all the other implements are legal for air travel, but I'm just worried that some uninformed security guys give me a hard time with the card itself, even if I show that it doesn't have a blade.

The travel is within Canada only, so I don't know if it makes it easier or not. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Guy

I ALWAYS have a Swisscard in my THE Wallet (and a Swisscard Quattro in the back of my Nite-Ize mobile phone holster!), but when I fly, I remove:-

Knife blade
Scissors
Nailfile/Screwdriver (on Swisscard only. The Quattro disc-style screwdriver stays)

I put all the implements in a flip-top plastic M&M's tube & chuck it in my toilet kit.

When I went flying in January and forgot to take out my Swisscard, TSA only took out the blade and let my fly with everything else. None of the other items gave me any trouble the next 4 flights. So I would think you would be finejust leaving out the knife/blade.

Thanks.

I'll give it a try and report back.

I'll warn you, I've lost 3 SC's to screeners.

And yet, I keep trying... funny how that works...

I lost a Gerber Legend to the screeners.. They let me keep the sheath... I was like ' Gee, thanks... ' :crazy2:
