RAT3 on Plane?

I'm flying from Texas to Colorado today and I wanted to take my RAT3. Can i simply pack in with my luggage and have it go under the plane without any trouble?

I'm no TSA guy by any stretch but I've packed my edc SOG Trident in my checked luggage from cruises and flying and never had any trouble.

Just be sure to wrap it in lots of underwear and dirty socks in case a screener decides he/she wants it more than you do.

I just returned to Denver from San Diego. I packed my Benchmade Grip in my luggage. It is no problem to carry knives in your CHECKED baggage.

I had about a dozen knives in my checked baggage and they survived untouched to and from LAX.

I've checked many, many knives (including a RAT-3) on flights from CO into MT and back. None have gone missing. If you have any hesitations about it, call your airline before you get to the airport.
