Can the original poster of a topic or message delete it from the boards?
I see a "modify" option on messages I post but no option for deletion.
Is deletion currently an option?
If not ,it should be considered.
Wonderful work this forum.
Many thanks

Hi shalom-

The option to delete posts is not available to members because it can create havoc with the database, especially if it was a post that started a thread.

Thanks for your question and glad you like the forum. It IS a great place!

First of all welcome to the forums!

About your question:
If something is wrong with a thread you start and there are no replies you can always ask a moderator to delete it and they will do it for a very small fee (just kidding it's free). Imagine that if a user starts a thread and then it becomes full of interesting replies it is not fair for the others if the thread starter can just delete the complete thread.

Thanks for the replies.
I can see where deleting a topic you started would be wrong to all those that had replied.
Guess one just has to be careful to think and check before posting .
Peace
