Does anyone know any cool accessories for Glocks?
PICS?

I know they make a plug for the small opening on the butt where the mainspring is housed. I dont own a Glock but have seen them offered. They also make a tape panel for the grip which is "Cats Tongue" material for better cold weather or wet grip on the pistol.
NOt owning one, that is about all I know having just seen stuff in magazines for them :).

I try once a stock for pistol, I think it was a TDI one (but in my memory, it was simpler that the model shown). Not very comfortable, but it helps for over-75 meters shooting.

Formerly my duty piece, now part of the home defense arsenal, a Glock 17. Internal laser sight courtesy of LaserMax. The magazine I carried with the extention giving me 19+1 and the extended 31 round magazine (never carried - really hard to conceal ;D). In conjunction with my duties as division firearms coordinator I was a certified Glock armorer but I have not kept current in that regard since retirement. I also have a Glock 30 and a Glock 23 Carbon Fiber.

You all were a lot of help!
Anymore cool stuff!
Welcome aboard!
The eight pound Nu Yauck Trigger is not necessarily "cool," but it adds an extra dimension of safety over the too-light 5-lb. factory trigger. The factory in Smyrna, GA can do this trigger modification that the New York State Police requires on all their duty Glocks. Hence the name.
The Wayne Novak Tritium Low Profile Combat Sights are going on my Model 19 as soon as funds become available.
The 17-round, extended magazine was what I carried in my strongside, packake, thumbreak custom holster made my Mitch Rosen when I carried it.
There are a few custom pistolsmiths that are recontouring the polymer frame to remove the "hook" OFF the trigger guard for those that prefer the traditional round, smooth variety. Other smiths like Robbie Barkmann reshape the grip to remove the bubblegum compartment to reduce the grip angle from 22 to 17 degrees-much closer tot that of the 1911 pistols.
Still others are replacing the entire plastic frame with a forged aluminum one. I might try this.
Replace your recoil spring every 5000 rounds with those from Wolff.
I, too, went though the armorers school, but have not kept up with it.
I haven't fired my G19 in years. :(

Rich -
I own 11 Glocks. Its always been my opinion that stock, right out of the box, is best. I have added Meprolight sights to some of them, and maybe one of those slip on grips, but thats it.
The best thing about a Glock is its tendency to go BANG every time you pull the trigger. When you start messing with aftermarket recoil springs, barrels, triggers, etc., you also tend to lower the tendency to go bang, IMO. Thats fine for a range gun, but not a bedside or carry gun. Going bang is paramount.
So if you have a hankering to spend, I'd say get some night sights and a case of ammo, and hit the range. :)

Yeah, gotta agree with this statement 100%.
Rich, you didn't specify in what application the Glock will be used. If it is a carry piece or nightstand sentinel, I recommend the heavier trigger. Nothing like a negligent discharge (NG) while drawing during a self defense scenario or just after waking up in the middle of the night because the 5-lb. trigger is too light. Glock factory installation of the 8-lb. New York Trigger was the absolute best mod that I could have done to increase safety.
Same goes for the better sights. The factory white rear outline sight just has too much white for my older eyes. I blacked-out the vertical white portions of the U-shape in the rear sight so that only the horizontal bar remains. The tritium bar rear-tritium dot front is the Novak model that I will have installed.
It is always good to abide by the factory recommendations. I replaced the recoil springs with new stock Glock springs after 5000 rounds. I found the springs from Wolff to last longer, however, I still did raplace them at 5000 rounds. I shot Corbon 115-grain 1300 FPS or Federal LBPLE (law enforcement-only round) 115-grain, 1290 FPS rounds almost exclusively in my G19 so it has taken a lot of pounding.
If for carry, get the holster that you will be competent, confident, and comfortable using. Remember the 3Cs. It may take some time and money to find just the right one.
The other things that I recommend are for advanced or long-time shooters. Were I to incorporate those changes, I would do so knowing that I will extensively test them before I actually place the pistol in use. This has been my practice for newly acquired firearms as well.
I cannot speak for other models, but my G19 has been one of two handguns that I trust for self defense.
As for the "cool" accesories, plase take utmost care in using them. Have licensed, competent pistolsmiths install them. Safety first!
Sunday morning ramble mode off. :P

I'm pretty sure that late Colonel Jeff Cooper will one hundred percent disagree with that idea (9 mm - Glock - heavy trigger - accidental discharge). But hey... I just use a short-barrelled 16-gauge for those kind of scenarios, so I'm pretty unconcerned and totally O/T. Je sors ^^

Glocks are great guns, I just can't shoot them worth a dang :) As to the installing the heavier trigger that's up to you. IMO it's not nessesary as proper trigger control will keep your finger out of the trigger guard until you're ready to shoot.

I just got my Glock 19 last weekend :)
Put about 130 rounds through it over the weekend and it worked great, no failures at all.
I really like it so far, and it seems to shoot really well.
I agree, that for the most part you should keep it fairly stock, especially the inner workings of it.
I have a set of TruGlo TFO Sights on the way.
They are fiber optic (light up in daylight) AND Tritium (radioactive, glow 24/7)
http://www.truglo.com/content/prod_handgun_sights/tritium_fiber_optic.asp
I am also going to get on of those plugs for the bottom of the grip.
Seems it will make it a bit more even and smooth at the bottom, so you dont feel the back edge of the mag.
Heres the plain plug http://glockmeister.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/14/products_id/50
Heres one that covers the mag, but I dont like it as much http://www.pistolgear.com/proddetail.php?prod=58MLC
These are one of the most popular add-on grips http://www.pistolgear.com/proddetail.php?prod=62HOA&cat=17
Cant forget the 33 round mags, get them while you can, before they pass another damn bill.
(the Glock 17 33 round mags fir the Glock 19 also)

Here's some "cool" stuff I did with my Glock 19 (early version)
When I got my CCW, the 19 was a bit big to carry and I wanted a 26. But this one shoots so good, that I really didn't want a new gun.
So the next best thing was to MOD my glock. I modified the grip to a model 26, and now I have the best of both worlds. A short concealeable grip, and the sight radius and muzzle weight of the 19.
http://funggrip.jnb.com/ebay/glock1926.jpg
and add some ghost ring tritium sights...these reallly glow in the dark! A must for home SD at night!
http://funggrip.jnb.com/ebay/glockghstsight.jpg
and a Blackhawk Serpa CQC holster with finger rentention release....light, fast draw, comfortable and kydex

Je sors ^^

I don’t have any pictures, but I have bought a lot of items for my Glock 23. It has Meprolite green sights, the slide stop lever with a bump on the end, a plug in the opening next to the magazine well, an M3 rail light, a Glock 22 magazine with a +2 end cap (17+1 rounds of .40 S&W), and an Advantage LE .22 lr Slide. It rides in a Kydex Predator slide holster. All toys were bought from the Glockmeister; in person.

One of my favorites is the A&G grip extension. It attaches to a full-size glock mag allowing its use in a mid or baby glock, making the combo have a better grip and feel.

I put a different mag release on my glock 27 so you don't have to shift your hand around to release it. They don't cost much and "I" don't feel there is any problem in accidentaly hitting it while firing. you can see it in this pic

another inexpensive thing you can get is the device that fits between the trigger and back that keeps you from accidentally discharging when the gun is kocked. You simply stroke it as you start to pull the trigger and it snaps out letting you fire. Little hard to see it in this pic but look closely.

Laurent,
FWIW, I believe that the Glock, as equipped in your picture, would be classed as a short-barreled rifle, and woiuld be illegal without the proper Federal paperwork. I could be mistaken,* but it's the sort of thing that I'd prefer to err on the side of caution on, knowing how the BATFE operates.

Oh, that's right. Sometimes I forget that every gun control law, even light like in most part of the U.S., got its silly part. If I can comfort you, in France, Glock pistols (most pistols, in fact) are labelled "war weapons" and can't be own by a standard citizen...
When I had Glocks, I always used a Glock plug, and had night sights installed. I also changed out the slide release & mag release.

The In-thing for gun-nuts here are Glocks most specifically 19's and 23's, 17's and 21's follow closely...with the addition of a FSSG copy. Sometimes for the 9mm versions they have it milled out to take in the 18 series selector.
A Chinese guy I used to be acquainted with dazzled the internet sites with a video of his Glock 26 with a Glock 18 selector and 33 rd mag firing full-auto!
Coolness factor 10...Real world value 1 (gunfights inside steel drums, closets and phone booths)
Price of the FSSG knock-off? around 80-100 american dollars :)

The link didn't work for me. Are you sure it's titanium they are using? I read an article in a gun magazine (the paper kind ;D ) and they were talking about aluminum. Pretty sure it was the same company, but maybe they do titanium too, I dunno.
I have to go with the addition of the plug for the backstrap, to keep lint and junk from getting in there. It gives the gun a streamlined look in that area.
I also would add a new extractor to any older Glock because the new ones have a chamber-loaded indicator built into them. (You need to put a new plastic plunger onto the extractor rod, too, when you do this mod.) The part(s) are in the $10-20 range. It's very cheap to make a lot of mods to a Glock.
I'd like to get a Surefire X200 light for my Glock 22, but they're around $200-250 and I don't feel like blowing that money on something that I probably will never really need. That kind of tacticality is more of a fantasy thing than an "I really need it" thing.
I also like the SureSights concept. Triangle sights similar to the concept that Steyr uses on their handguns.
I always used a plug for the back strap on all my Glocks. I also always had night sights installed on my Glocks too.

I have to do the same thing on Glocks. I thought it was a function of frame size, but there's no difference between the G17, G19, or G26's I've played with. That mag release extension looks useful.

This (http://www.ccfraceframes.com/home.php) has made me want a Glock now more than I've ever wanted one before. They come in TITANIUM, for God's sake! :woohoo:
If ONLY Glock's were available from the factory with an optional manual safety (there's still the Cominoli, but I'm still on the fence about the reliability/ergonomics of that one). It looks pretty good, but I'm not sure how well it would perform in the long run.
Here's an idea for Mr. Gaston Glock: a full-size, single-stack in .45ACP. I've been waiting for one of these to come out since they introduced the G36!

Same here, this is the only addition that I use, besides night sights. I tried an extended slide release, but I kept locking up the slide between rounds, so back to factory. I have seen shooters with big hands try the extended mag release in the picture above with bad results. Meaning, practice, practice, practice, with anything new you put on your gun.

Ticey, I got the chance to shoot an HK with those sights over the weekend - WOW, what a difference from Glock's "white box"!
I took a Glock "Tune-up" course out at Frontsight in Nevada, taught by a few guys from Lone Wolf Distributors. It was basically an abbreviated Armorers Course where we took our guns apart, cleaned them and reassembled them. The instructors went over the different components available and how they affect the guns. I ended up with a 5 lb. connector bar and an 8 lb. NY trigger spring. It seemed to give my Glock 17 a more constant trigger pull.
One of the instructors was licensed to convert Glock pistols to full auto and they let us put 2 10 round magazines through some Model 17s. The first magazine almost everyone stitched right up the target. The second one was a little bit better once you knew what to expect. I believe they could convert almost any Glock pistol to full auto and had some video clips on the CD-rom.
I don't know if they still hold the classes but here is a link to their website:
Lone Wolf Distributors (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Default.aspx)
i have a g22 that i installed the comminoli safety on, it has been reliable and while i would make some slight mods to the lever, it is pretty good as to function.

I want to get a set of Glocks in 9mm. A 17, a 19, and a 26 would be really nice.
+1 on Wendell. I had him modify the grip on my Glock 30 and am very pleased with the results. Several gunsmiths offer this service, most use an epoxy and grind down and then build the grip up. Wendell only works with the existing grip material and doesn't add any epoxy. This results in a slimmer grip with excellent purchase.
+1 on the Comminoli safety. I had Big Ten Precision install this one. The Comminoli adds a levels of safety that improves my confidence in the Glock design.
Not visible in the photo are the Novak low-mount bar/dot night sights that I had Novak install to complete the package.
With this setup I have the best of the 1911 and Glock in one package.

I have XS Big Dots on my G26 and highly recommend them for aging eys. I prefer orange fronts for daylight shooting, however, so I used a tiny paintbrush to carefully put a coat of florescent orange paint on the white ring surrounding the tritium dot. Works well for me.

I have a glock 17 that I've added a few goodies to. Most of them came from http://www.lonewolfdist.com/
The +2 round magazine plate, an adjustable trigger stop, a 3.5 lb connector, an extended mag release button, an extended slide release. I also sometimes put on a laser/light combo that came with the FN 5-7 I bought a while back. But since my glock is my CCW pistol, that doesn't go on it too often.

All did with the 19 I formerly owned was replace the sights with Tru Glo's, add a plug, a couple of 33, 17 and 15 rnd mags and an extended magazine release. I also had a pair of Don Hume holsters for it one IWB and one OWB. They really don't need anything to run right and work.
