SWEET JESUS!!!
This thing is incredible. It's weight and size is very reminiscent of my Tag. I got a screemin deal through Amazon... $169.99 with free shipping.
I'll get some pics when I can. I also recently bought a Citizen Pro Master, and felt a little let down. It's a great watch, but kind of small.
I'm seriously digging the Orange Monster though! O0

Orange Monster!* Woohoo!* Awesome choice.* It is one heck of a watch that could have been sold for twice the price easily!* Did you get the rubber or SS band?* *I prefer the black rubber with the orange face myself.
Can't wait to see the pics!* Congratulations!

They are big, thick and come in colors not usually seen in watches. They are made of 316L stainless steel also, with the Seiko's quality craftsmanship.
Being a watch guy myself with divers being my favorite, I think Monsters are one of the best looking watches out there.

So is the one I linked to above the one you are talking about?

Yup, that's the one.*
See, the thing is, there are a lot of folks who are into large, chunky dive watches.* One with a nice clean bezel with very defined numbers.* Also, we like the hands to glow brightly.* This fits the criteria quite nicely and looks great too.* It is large, but has a very clean design.
Here are some more pics at this site.* Browse around this site to see pics of other great watches.* Here are a few examples of watches that have made waves in the at the watch forums.* In fact these watches earned nicknames like Monster and Samurai.
Note the dimensions.* Chunky watches lovers look for chunky dimensions.

Watches are just like other gadgets like knives. The more you know about them, the more refined your tastes get and then you are going to want one and then another and then so on. So be careful about what you are getting yourself into! :)

I've already ordered a couple of Seikos from overstock.com, and I suspect that tomorrow I will order an Orange Monster.
Since its an automatic, how long will it stay alive without human contact?
thx

If I am not mistaken, a fully wound watch will keep running normally for 36 to 48 hours.

Got a quick question about the "Monster." As the second hand moves, it there an audible ticking? Just curious. I love big watches, but just can't quite handle a watch movement that makes noise (even if it is "barely audible") Thanks in advance.

I have a Seiko 5 with a similar movement and there is a ticking, but you need to hold it very close to your ear to hear it. I suspect the Monster would be quieter just because it is a beefier watch...im sure a Monster owner will be along to say for sure.

I'm a huge fan of my black and orange Monsters - great watches! I'd say they're about 75% of Omega quality at <10% of the price.
CONGRATULATIONS on getting an orange Monster!!! What is the size of the watch? 44mm 45mm? I wish it was 40mm, as I CAN wear that size. But, I do not think I could get away with wearing a Monster, as much as I LOVE them.
