I have been wearing a Wenger watch now for about 5-6 years, (maybe longer). I like mine a lot and the two I have keep excellent time. What are your experiences with them? Love them? Hate them?

I have an older Wenger that just says "SWISS MILITARY" on the face.
It has a day & date window & 24 hr. markers that go completely around the face, very cool watch.
I wore it so much that it's really beat up, but it still keeps great time.
Recently I bought the newer version of the same model. On the face it says:
"WENGER SWISS MILITARY"
There are 2 things I don't like about the newer model.
1. It only has 24 hr. markers going from 14 - 22 to make room for the extra letters. (WENGER)
To me it looks better if they went completely around, i.e. 13 - 24
2. The Day & Date start to change at about 10 PM. The older model starts to change around midnight as most watches of this type do.
Anyway, they are great watches. Currently I'm wearing a SWISS ARMY "GARRISON" watch by Victorinox that I really like.
Sorry, no camera for pics.
I have 4 Wenger watches and I love them. I think they are great bang for the buck watches and look great! I bought them all at Costco. I like how uncluttered and easy to read they are.

I just recently bought another Wenger.* Yes, it is one of the cheaper models (retail $150 or so).* Anyway, my older one which I was very happy with just started to stop and then I'd shake it or whatever it would start again.* The date had to be adjusted manually turning the analog hands 24 hrs to the next date or what ever is appropriate.* Anyway, they aren't sold much around where I live anymore so I was in JC Penney's browsing... noticed they sell Wengers.* I asked if they replaced the batteries and yes they do... I said lets do it.....* clerk opens the watch and she said that some kind of device that holds the battery down was missing (probably complements of the last battery replacer in Nashville Mall-I was there on business and the battery died.).* So, that explains the erratic behavior, I think.* So, looked at new ones.* Prices were full retail.* Talked to the clerk and after all their 20% here and there discounts were applied it brought the price down to levels similar to those you see on the internet.* So, I bought a new one and will probably try to get the older one repaired if it doesn't run too much.* I didn't want to buy on line after my first experience summarized below.
When I first bought the original watch at Service Merchandise, the one I got would not keep time well.* It would loose about a second or two a day.* Replaced battery, same problem. Took it back, replaced it... same problem or worse.* Tried again and the third kept perfect time.* Really strange kind of thing.* The clerk said maybe I had some kind of magnetic field around me that affected the watches.... I thought it BS.* With the third one keeping perfect time, I was happy for years until the present problem with the erratic behavior developed.*
Wore the original Wenger watch everywhere. Sure preferred it to the Casio's that I used to wear and prior to that the Timex's.* It added a little class to my general unclassy appearance. I don't buy expensive watches for myself, only my wife; actually consider Wengers expensive.* Been fishing, hunting, boating etc where the watch has been dunked more than a couple of times and never a problem. I liked that!* It was (is) easy to read to the second and kept very accurate time.* Use it to time out ebay purchases to the last few seconds sometimes if I'm in the mood for such behavior.* I set my watch with the TV Guide cable channel to the second and have found this time to be very accurate. I like to have my watch accurate to within one second. Anwyay, thought I would relate my experiences and maybe they might help someone else. New one seems perfect!

Wore one everyday, all day, for 9 years. Keeps fantastic time. Best watch I've ever had. I don't wear it anymore but since the Citizen broke, I'm thinking I may get the battery replaced and do so.
