Q-Lock

I've been looking for a watch to put on my "Christmas List" for the wife to buy for me. As of right now, I believe I've decided on the Seiko Titanium Military Chronograph (SNA141) or (SNA139).
My questions are directed to those of you who have this specific watch, or any other knowledgeable person for that matter.
How have you enjoyed this piece?
First and foremost, where is the best place to buy it?
I will probably end up getting the 2-ring Zulu band for it in the future, which brings me to another important question. I like the jet green dial, but I really like the jet black dial model (SNA139)---which I know comes with the stainless band instead of the nylon one. How difficult would it be for me change out the stainless band for the Zulu band at a later date? Are the dial color and band type the only differences between these two models?
Thank you in advance for any help I get.
Regards,
Quinten

Hi, I can't be very helpful but I can recommend this site: http://www.hmewatch.com/
Email the owner to see if they can get you the models you want, they have very good prices and are very reliable.

Goldtanker - TY for the welcome. I've been browsing around here for a little while now, and I totally agree with you...this place is great!
luigi - Thanks for that link; I'll be taking a look at it later today.
Please keep the comments coming,

Q-Lock, my co-worker just bought the SNA141, but it had an all titanium bracelet. I noticed it the day that the first day he work it. Maybe it is because I am a watch guy, or maybe it just looked sharp. Probably both. My co-worker has had it for a few weeks, and he still loves the watch. His only complaint is that he can't hear the alarm because it is high-pitched. He is an older gentleman though. I heard the alarm just fine. So did everyone else in the room.
Hope this info helps.

Thank you for the info Deaths Head! I'm about 99% sure that I'm going to get the SNA141. The main thing I'm wondering about is whether or not the SNA139 is the same watch with just a different color dial. If this is the case, then I'm sold on the SNA139...but only if it is the exact same as the 141 other than dial color.
So far I've found both of these models being sold from a guy on e-bay in Singapore and from skywatches.com which is also based out of Singapore. I wish there was a dealer someone around here so I could try one on and play with it for a little before purchasing it.
Thanks again,
Quinten

I would highly recomend Chronograph.com, I have dealt with them a number of times and gotten excellant service. They even have free shipping if you do not want the watch insured, this is something you have to watch quite often with forieng dealers. their prices may be slightly lower, but their shipping costs can be high.

Not sure where around here is, but most medium to larger metropolitan areas have watch sellers, or jewlery stores that sell watches. By doing a bit of checking online, or in the yellow pages you may perhaps find a dealer who distributes Seiko watches. From there, most are more than happy to order one if they do not have one in stock, and allow you to look before purchasing.

Have you looked at the Black and Orange Monsters? These are probably the best value for money in the watch universe.
They are built like tanks and have a never say die automatic movement that is famous for its robustness.
You can get 'em with a metal bracelet or a rubber strap. Or you can slap a Maratac Zulu on, like I did.
Either way, they rock!

Another nod for the Monster. A great place to get Seikos, believe it or not, is Ebay. I have a Blue Sawtooth coming in. I was going to get an Orange Monster, but I was able to get the Sawtooth at the same price. $148 shipped.

This is a neat, little watch. Very light and comfortable on the wrist. You hardly know you're wearing it. It sits very low on the wrist so it's a great watch to wear when you've got on a long sleeve shirt. I got mine from a dealer in Hong Kong for around $119.99. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m55/Timecacher/Sna141-3.jpg
