When I go to 'Show new replies or posts', it shows me more or less all threads I've posted in. *But there's some which I don't want to be updated on anymore. *Is there any way to stop receiving the link to the thread?

Thanks!! * :)

AFAIK it is an unfortunate limitation of the software. I end up just using "shift+click" to bring up the ones I want then hitting "mark read" for the rest.

Go into your profile and click on your "notifications and email".* You can unsubscribe from there.

I guess I misunderstood. I thought he meant when he looked at "Show new replies to your posts." and wanted not to see every post to which he'd responded.

This is what I mean! Sorry for any confusion. When you say, shift and click...where do you do this and what's supposed to happen???

I know I can turn off notifications in my profile, but then I won't get any at all, which isn't what I want. I just don't want to read new replies to all the threads I've posted in...

Thanks guys :)

For example from "Show new replies to your posts" you normally click on a link and it takes you to that post. If you press and hold Shift then click on one of the links it will open that post in a new window. I usually do this so I don't have to keep going back and forth between the posts and the "Show new replies to your posts" page. Generally I'll open all the posts I want then hit "Mark as Read" for the other posts.

Hope this helps.

I don't think I've noticed the option 'Mark as Read', but I'll check that out when I have a new reply.

Thanks Lunal.

It's on the right hand side of the screen above the "Last Post" column. I use the same technique on the "Show unread posts since last visit." section too.
