I've always been partial to a Dive watch. My EDC rotates between 2 Seiko Monsters - the orange and the black. I have a blue but don't wear it often.
Anyone else lean toward the Dive watch? What brand and maybe you could post a photo too.

Seiko SKX033, but I'm thinking of selling it and putting the money towards a 007... ;D
I find lately I'm having to make myself sell one thing to justify getting something else...I just had entirely too much redundant stuff. Seems to be working, so far...

I've got my BabyZ. Well, that's not an unofficial name of it like Tuna Can or Monster. It's just the name I gave it because it reminds me of a smaller version of the Eco-Zilla.

:P Loving those pics... Heartfelt apologies that I cannot submit my own, still without a digicam (Xmas is coming...)
Plse don't get me started on dive watches, my bank account can't handle it...
I feel the same way, though my diving is largely restricted to the bath tub* ;D
My diver's are usually weekend watches, with the Marathon SAR getting a lot of wrist time, and the orange Monster second (although in retrospect, I think I would have preferred a BM).
I also have a Marcello C GMT Tridente, although I don't think of that as a dive watch, although it is waterproof to an incredible 1000 METERS!
Oh, and the G-Shock Frogman, almost forgot that - its great but I don't enjoy batteries as a rule.

Somewhere else inj this forum you may look at my two most worn watches:
Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic (crown at 8 o'clock)
Citizen Promaster Aqualand I (original model with depthmeter)
Coming up next will be this year's model Diver 200m, titanium case, eco-drive mechanism, friendly price tag (225 €).
And yes, I do use them for diving (apnea spearfishing).

I have dive watches almost exclusively, I have 2 old 70's Seiko 6119 internal bezel divers, a 70's Telux, an old Fossil diver I use for painting (trying to see howlong before it disappears completely), a Seiko SKX011J and a Citizen Dolphin (the old cushion case version).
My SKX007J :-)

Heres a few more... Dive watches, to me at least, are the only watches that can survive my lifestyle... While I have not donned SCUBA gear in a few years they still meet my day to day needs with style and function that I require...

Nice stuff posted there. I like the looks of that style watch, always have. My first real watch given to me by my parents on the occasion of my 11th birthday was a dive watch. Heck, mine don't even see water, I take it off when I shower.

Citizen makes a titanium one, do they not? Is that a Ti case DH?
 Ok, I should have known! Good thing I looked at the photo again. No excuse tonight, I got my glasses on.

Not only Ti, but with Duratect. Titanium watches are notorious for getting scuffed up. With Duratect, it has a finish as durable as steel. In fact on the website, maybe the Japanese website, the show a band treated with Duratect, brushed 500 times with a steel brush. After the brushing there was little wear on the band.

Man, I know it. My Seiko is a mess from daily wear. Is this Duratect something that can be applied after I send it out to be buffed out I wonder?

I don't think you can have it applied. I really am not sure how they treat the Ti, but it should be done to all Ti. I had a Ti Fossile watch years ago, and I removed all of the scuff marks with some used Scotch Brite. It was in such better condition, I was able to sell it on Ebay.

Hey Green cobra,
Check out this link.* http://stores.ebay.com/The-Watch-Boys-Store/Titanium-Steel-Refinishing-Pens.html.* It's The Watch Boys ebay store.* They also sell from a reatil shop.* The link is to a titanium pen, which is used to refinsih tiatnium or stainless* brushed finished watches.* They also sell a prodcut called Cape Cod Polishing Cloth.* It's excellent for polished cases or bracelets.
I've used one on a 177 Panerai I used to own (titanium brushed case).* It worked like a charm.* Takes a little bit of practice, but it works.*I use the cape cod on my 05 logo, does one hell of a job.* *Hope this helps :help:
