Good Idea for a forum on EDC?

Hi thanks for opportunity to let me post here. Looks like a great site. I was thinking about the possibility of creating a new forum here called "EDC in Action" it would be geared for real life defensive application of the EDC gear folks carry. For example if someone is carrying a bandanna , edc in action would be the place to talk about how to use it for self defense, following goes for flashlights, multitools, pens, knives, tear jerker titanium rings and so on. What do you think? Any merit?

Actually, I would like to either see a dedicated area, like a sub-catergory under Personal Security. But I guess Other Personal Security Devices will have to do for now.
But the main thing is having members who are active in these types of topics.

EDCF is not a self-defense forum per se. From that perspective, I'd recommend considering where you'd place a thread about a certain EDC item, and relating your "EDC in action" stories there.

On the other hand, EDCF Staff will consider your suggestion. I'll update as a consensus is reached among mods/admin.

Holierthanthou, after careful consideration, EDCF Staff have determined that such a section would not further the the purpose or value of our forum. There are "tactical" forums on the internet where these "action" reports would be suitable.

Like I mentioned before, there are sections on EDCF where you would report the use of an EDC item, keeping in mind that we consider this a "G-rated" forum, and that we have Forum Guidelines (http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=2169.0) which we appreciate our members following.

Hey right on, if you are ok with me adding a little bit of the self defense input here and there as the opportunity arises, I will stick with to that. Maybe as the site evolves there might be more of a need for a practical application of edc, EDC in Action, thought it would be fun but Shogenai as they say in Japan.

Actually it should be Sho Ga Nai. (For our non-Japanese speaking members, it's just the casual form of "that's the way it goes" or "nothing you can do about it") ;D
