As long as I can remember I've loved the idea of carrying a pistol and a rifle in the same caliber. As I grew older I realized this would only happen in pistol cartridges, but that didn't deter me. My two favorite combos; my "Cowboy Combo" is a Marlin lever action and a Ruger Blackhawk that was my Dads, both in .357. The other is my "Work Combo" because they both hide so neatly - a Glock 19 and a KelTec Sub2000 Carbine, both in 9mm. O0 (I'll post pics if I can get them to fit :()

I have a Marlin 1894 matched with a Ruger Gp-100. I keep consider the sub-2000 matched with kel tec P11.
When I go purely 'plinking", I like my Ruger 10/22 and Beretta model 21 , .22 LR pistol. Years ago Lou Ciamillo of Maryland Gun Works performed a trigger job on this combo and they are a delight to shoot. When I was a kid , my dad and I would use self strike kitchen matches as targets to hone our skills :-)! In a survival situation I'd love to have this combo as an ideal small game getter. Just bring alond a couple of bricks of ammo and your set!

I have a couple of pistol caliber carbines and a few matching caliber handguns.
Marlin Camp Carbine 9mm - Glock 19, BHP, I could get a S&W 6906 that takes the same magazines as the Marlin
Marlin Camp Carbine .45 - Colt Gold Cup pistol
Marlin .44 lever action stainless steel - I need a matching revolver
Hi-Point 9mm carbine - I know it's cheap but I have had zero problems and newbies like to shoot this rifle
NEF single shot .357 - to go with my 686 or Ruger Security Six
I bought most of these pistol caliber carbines because the closest gun range only allows pistol caliber firearms. It is close by so I can keep up on my rifle shooting.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and a Walther p22 , they both like to eat CCI Stingers.
Last year I bought one of the last Winchesters made - a Timber Scout 1894 .44 mag. Now I am shopping for a revolver to go with it .....

I did the Kel-Tec Sub2K/Glock 19 combo for about a month. Sold the Kel-Tec after shooting it once. Nothing wrong with it, just not for me. 9mm just doesn't make a good rifle round, and there's something not right about a rifle that can't take as hot of a load as my handgun! If I ever do another handgun/rifle combo it'll probably be in .357 or maybe .44.
