Review - Coast "Micro Fish Tool" Multiitool (lots of pics).

I found this at Walmart for about $10 and was pleased enough with it that I thought I should share my find.

Tools include (as stated on package): leader cutter, cap lifter, mini-screwdriver, scissors, phillips screwdriver, wire stripper, key ring, needlenose pliers, main blade, small screwdriver, saw blade, file blade and hook eye cleaner. It comes with a retractable lanyard and an adjustment wrench. The package states that it is made from 440C stainless steel. When closed it is approximately 2-1/2" long x 7/8" wide x 1/2" thick.


This thing is no Leatherman, and I am no fisherman, but for $10 I was pretty happy with how well it's made and how well it works.

I saw this setup just the other day. I cannot remember where I saw it. Musta been Walmart.

Let use know well you like it. Should make for a decent backup or starter EDC.

I've been playing with it for about a week and I'm pretty happy with it. To me, it's worth more than the $10 I paid...

I don't use the retractable lanyard, but that was geared toward a fisherman who might be standing in water and not want to loose his/her tool by dropping it.

I've handled a few Leaterman multi-tools and this doesn't hold a candle to them, but for what it is, and for it's price, I think it's a good deal ;)

I forgot to mention that you have to look in the fishing equipment area at Walmart for this thing. It's not in thier knife display case.

Thanks a lot for the review, it is a great review and very good pictures.
This is exactly the kind of things that make this site great and will make it greater in the future, review of EDC items that are maybe not expensive, maybe you can get them at wally world but without a review you have no idea what you are buying.

Wow, it's like Leatherman Micra's bigger brother. Love the addition of a saw. Looks like a steal for $5-10. I hope Walmart still carries it!

I just got one today. 10 bucks at Joes outdoors and that included a led light. It is definitely cheaply made but strangely the tool setup is alluring. I bought it to install my keys in it. It is wider than the leatherman micra so it will fit more keys. I love the sissors, saw and pokey file. The needle nose pliers are also cool. Ah heck....gonna have to go get another to tear apart....I like it too much now.
