I'm really enjoying this forum.
I am enjoying the enthusiasm and appeal that comes with a new and fresh board at start up.
I felt the same about CPF when first finding it and it was still in its infancy. I have grown a bit tiresome of late (CPF) due to the elite-ist attitude being found there. Opened mindedness is a quality I appreciate and have trouble adapting when others do not exhibit the same.

One thing I like about EDC is how everyone is in acceptance of each others views and practices, using provided info to expand their edc horizons, rather than attempt to argue the finer points of their decisions or favorite products because they are superior to what works for you.

this is something that I have found at many boards, especially after they start to grow and membership expands. Its one of the reasons I now stay away from firearms related boards.

regardless just wanted to say how much I like it here and I hope I was able to express what I am feeling/thinking so that you all understand what I mean.
And nothing against CPF, I still take part there as lights are a part of my life, but my enthusiasm is not the same as when I first started.

We are very lucky to have great poeple here on EDCF. I know what you are talking about and agree 100%. I only post here on edcf for the exact reason. The small amount of problems that we do have don't outweigh the overall feel here. I think if we all are open minded and understanding we can keep this forum the best on the net...

I share your same feelings about BF. *It was nice when I wasn't part of other forums, but I hate that rift that is made between new guys and the veterans. *The atmosphere can be so unwelcoming at times.

This is a very friendly and helpful board. Let's make it all of our goals to keep it that way, and avoid the pitfalls that have snagged other forums that have failed to remain so.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Well. That might be a bit of an overstatement, (My full measure of devotion is reserved for my dogs) but I do think this board does have some really great folks.

Yup, let's keep it that way!

You know what? I just noticed that I'm goofier here than on CPF...
I wonder what it is. It's not like I've met a lot of you guys in person (whereas I've met a bunch of CPF'ers)...

Maybe it is because you have 10,000 at CPF and have are reputation to uphold! ;D Over here your reputation is being Pinky!

I agree with you webley! I haven't posted that much yet since I'm just getting into EDC... I'm waiting for my paycheck to turn up and get me some new goodies. This is a great place to be and an awsome place to learn. Thnx a lot to everyone out here contributing to this website!

I'm on BF a lot, but tend to post here probably more than there since I found this forum. I do tend to be very neutral there, though :) Mostly because I have other interests beyond knives and hopefully, I can provide info that others may not have. I'm also on the Spyderco forum a fair amount, but mostly because I do have a fair amount of Spydies but then again, I don't just buy Spydies either ;D Nice thing about this forum, is that it relates a little closer to the things I do on a day-to-day basis.

This thread reminds me of the mission statement of the company that makes my Titanium hammer (and recently re-handled it).
"Whatever We Do, Don't Trip
Whatever You Say, Don't Front
Whatever Happens, Don't Hate"

If it doesn't kmake sense, ask a teenager, I had to.
