which one is best?
Mini Clip $3.00
Micro Clip 25mm $2.50
Nano Clip 20mm $2.25
Pico Clip 15mm $2.00
*i need 10 of them
i like small and the smaller one seem to be a little less expensive.
just worried my BIG fingers won't be able to operate the pico one handed.
they show a size comparison but its not labeled as to which is which
if i push the comparison window off my screen, I can use the edge of the screen to line up the top of the left clip with the metric ruler on the right so it looks like the left clip is the pico?

I've been looking for those to put on the kydex sheaths I've been making. For me the smallest one will do because it does the job without taking up too much space on a key ring.

I keep several of each on hand. I do have a bit of nerve damage in my hands, so I do find the pico a bit difficult at times, but not as much as it's tiny size would seem. If the need calls for the pico, I don't hesitate to use it. Having said that, it is small. I keep a Nano on my Arc-P AAA and my Raw Ti lights - it fits both perfectly.

How is the quality? Are they made of stainless steel?

They're the best quality of any such clips I've seen.* All SS - they're designed for use in salt water environments.* They do cost more, but I look at the function of the clip and what it's holding to determine whther the cost is worth it.* I trust my Raw Ti light (approaching $300) to a nano with one of BP's split rings.
Think of them this way.* An Arc light compares to a Garrity LED keychain light in the same way that BP's clips compare to the clips you'll find on things in the sporting goods department of Walmart.
Keep in mind that McGizmo (McLux, Aleph, PD, etc) is heavily associated with these clips.* In fact, the mini is now referred to as the McGizmo Stainless Steel Mini Clip (http://www.berkeleypoint.com/products/hardware/S0185-0035.html) on BP's website.* That oughta answer any quality questions!* Don was one of the guys behind BP.* I think he still is, though I'm not certain after his recent move to Hawaii.

I use the smallest 2 sizes. The quality is very good. The smaller, the better for my Keyrings.

These are the very best that I have ever seen and used!
I used the Mini (largest) for years.
I recently downscaled to the Micro and Nano (2nd and 3rd size).
The spring gate on the Pico(smallest) is very delicate and I would NOT trust it for items on a keyring. I use the Pico with a necklace.

For size comparison, SF lanyard clips are 25mm (2.5cm), IIRC.
Also, if you are a CPF member, check out my "CPF Specials" thread for a discount.

Thanks for all the very usefull info. I'm measuring my SF clip and it looks like 2.5 "cm" which would be 25mm????
if its 25mm its sf=micro or at least the one I have. WOW, thats it, I'm ordering one of each first.
the discount should help out though. The SF clip on my lanyard is nice and small but couldnt get anything off the ring with one hand.
so small size or one handed operation. I'm slow at making tough decisions.
I ordered a twisty from flashlightlens and it looks like i'll need more than 10 clips but dont want to do 100.

:D Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, it's 25mm or 2.5cm - I was thinking in mm units and wrote the number in cm. I'll fix that right away in my previous post.

Yeah they come in 4 sizes ... I have two of each. I would only use the "0" size for a necklace, "1" for keychain (But I have had a "1" fall off my keychain a couple of times when the gate was accidentally opened by ones of the keys, "3" if you want to make sure it stays where it's supposed to be, the "4" is too big for anything I need.

The Pico gates aren't strong but like others I use them with a necklace. IIRC they are 316 Stainless and are non-magnetic. Which always struck me odd since I always thought all steel was magnetic.
Used to be only the larger ones were available so I've got them everywhere. The biggest problem I've had is finding a split ring that was "worthy."

I've been happy with BP's split rings. They're crimped where the ends meet, so that the ends aren't "sitcking out" like on cheaper split rings.

Thanks for this link Don. I've put in my name for a few of these.
This group buy is still open. :)
If you've been wanting to get some of these clips the group buy is a great way to save on shipping.

Yup. With gas prices rising, shipping kills.

Just wanted to add my $.02 and say that these clips are top notch!
I usually have two clips of the same size (usually the smaller sizes) joined by a split ring. That way, I can clip anything to practically anything as long as the secure point fits in the clip.

It looks like the Nano and Micro would be perfect for most applications, the other two...too small and too large.* Anyone willing to put up pics of their setups with the various sizes?* I've seen the clip used with an ARC on the Berkeley site.
