View Full Version : Need advice for bending solid Ti round bar
I didn't know where else to place this post so it will end up here.
Moderators, please relocate if necessary.
I have a few pojects in the works. Several involve Ti.
I will attempt to bend 2mm solid, round Ti rod. All I have is couple of vice grips and a couple of bench vices. This will be my first attempt.
Any advice is appreciated

Can any of you guys do basic stuff with stock titanium like clean cut and drill clean holes? I have some simple ideas like kubotans and koppos if anyone can do this.

In my limited experience, Ti is not hard to cut or drill.

Have you tried putting it in a vice, and slipping a longer tube of steel over the end to provide more manual leverage? Do you have to 'beat it & heat it' into submission? (I'm not familiar with how maleable Ti is.)
